Dyche comes in, makes us solid, we're still no better than "ok".

To me he just screams small time.

Also, how come Pardew isn't in the mix if Dyche is "the one"? Has a better CV. (I don't want him btw I'm just making an argument)

I beg to differ there. Look what he's left us as a squad, that is pretty far from ok.
 
Let's hope Rhino can turn it around over the next two games. Then possibly, Bill will decide to keep Moshi's wallet in his pocket as far as compo for the ginger Guardiola goes.
 
I am not convinced yet that this is happening , but if it does then I do regard it as an underwhelming appointment.

I would rather get Sam Allyrdyce in for this season to steady the ship and decide what to do next summer and I think something like that may still happen.

It will cost even more money to buy Dyche out of his contract whereas Sam is currently not working and has a brilliant record with clubs in our current position.

Really? We were 7th last year, 5th 4 seasons ago.

It feels like the board may be taking a similar view to you - panicking at our current league position and forgetting that we really shouldn't be this bad.

He brought them so he'd have a better understanding. The problem was the money he spent and the output which is totally unacceptable. But I still think he'd string a few wins together.

But that was last year and 4 seasons ago, with a top centre forward and defenders that weren't past it. This squad we have no has absolutely no right to be anywhere near the top 7 of the Premier League, we have players that wouldn't get a game for any other PL team starting every week for us.
 
Loves a strong British target man doesn't he?

If we can't get Harry Kane, the only other one i can think of is Andy Carroll
