18th place says we are in a relegation battle ............

it doesnt

we are 9 games into the season

it would be an utter freakshow of a season to find us actually down there stressing for the whole season which is what a relegation battle is

we havent had one since Moyes early days and we wont have one this season

so enough with the dull short term panic thinking. we need a manager with a plan to take us forward....not park the bus and scrape points

We didn’t even have a relegation battle in Moyes’s early days.

Although on paper it looks like we did in 2003/04 when we finished 17th, six points above the drop zone, the reality is we were never down there and only dropped down the table after we became mathematically safe and went on a slump.

I'd prefer us to aim a bit higher, but if the higher profile names don't fancy it then sure. He gets the best out of limited resources, and as much as some people may not like it, that's still where we are at (compared to the sides we wish to compete with). The big question is can he build something more expansive with better players?

these guys dont know what a relegation battle is. im amazed

We want to break the top 4 and be a top team, we can all at least agree on that.

Can anyone honestly say that if the managers of City, Man U, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea or even Liverpool got sacked they would entertain the thoughts of Dyche? Nope, not one single one so why do our fans want him?

To be fair, in very recent times those clubs you mention have had Mark Hughes, David Moyes, Steve Sherwood, Avram Grant and Brendan Rodgers at the helm :(

I am not advocating Big Sean as our boss, just pointing out those clubs have had very unfashionable names at the helm lately.

thats what id like to know. it doesnt seem anybody who wants him in is able to answer it

i can only assume the 80 who voted Moyes in the next manager thread have Dyche as their next choice and are just fine with more hoofing.....but dont want to be so honest about it
