Seems a very evenly matched game from my perspective.

Should make for a good match. I doubt with 3 full days of rest the extra time will play a part on Wednesday.

as soon as the group stage finished I thought that the game between England and Colombia would determine the runner up. I see no reason to change that.

I'm not sure a team containing Rakitic, Modric, Peresic and Mandzukic could ever go on an "improbable run" in football. They have a serious collection of lads there

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the team who knocks out the hosts, doesn't that team usually always reach the final? That record surely doesn't favour England at all.

Personally I do. They're an ageing squad and have played consecutive games where they've had extra time and penalties, so fatigue may play a part.

England will need to improve on the performance against Sweden, but it's hard to imagine they'll get a better chance of reaching a world cup final. I'd like to see Kane do an awful lot more in games as he's been largely confined to set pieces in this tournament. Strangely considering how many goals England have scored, I'm not sure any of him, Alli and Sturridge are anywhere near top form.
