I am backing Luka and his mates @MarcelsGoat.

What a fantastic little player Luka is though. England doesn't have a midfielder fit to wear his pajamas.

Personally I don't think fatigue will be a factor. It's a 50/50 game.

Modric is superhuman. Watching him work off the ball (you often have to look at a corner of the TV screen) to run over make a tackle then set up a pass to his teammate--the right pass, on the proper trajectory to the space his teammate should be in--is brilliant. His only problem is that his teammates are often not on his wavelength.

I definately think fatigue and injuries will be a factor. Will be interested particularly in Mandzukic and Subasic in terms of their performances.

Southgate wanted to recall Rooney.
Rooney then proper retired.
Just sayin like.

Then, in the international break Rooney got drunk, pulled some bird, got caught drink driving. His and our season fell apart...
Wish he'd accepted the call up

Feeling confident.

Will be glorious to see the mighty England rub a bit more salt in the wounds of the unbelievers.

The beauty of it all is that it will be viewed as a fluke if it does 'come home'. If you do make the final you finally won't have to play mental gymnastics to class yourselves as underdogs.

The unity in the team is definitely clear and I think a lot of credit must actually go to the England setup as whole.

I know we got to Southgate sooner than it was planned after Sam got caught with his fat hand in the til, but this was always the plan long term, and with the U17 world champions, the 23s winning the Toulon Tournament, and Southgate knowing a number of these current squad through the younger age group, I think that’s setting England up for being a proper squad developing a unity together.

This is without doubt England’s best chance to win a World Cup, but it’s been a successful effort even if they don’t and as long as nothing really disastrous happens now, they wil come home either as winner, or at the very least disappointed but stronger for the experience and hopeful for the future.

Looking forward to wednesday now, i think we can do it..

Sunday would be immense! Absoloute scenes everywhere

Ive never been that behind england but its because of the egos etc ive took to this team, find it strange people are so anti england, if nothing more its a good drink with ya mates.. a think alot of the bitter/angry anti fans probs dont have many mates tho

Exactly mate. This has been a thoroughly enjoyable summer, for weather and footy. I just feel really sorry for anyone that hasn’t been able to enjoy this World Cup because their bitterness has completely taken over them and they’re past the point of no return.

I also find it really strange the way no one is talking about Croatia’s “easy” run to the semis.
