Sheedy on Moyes

Roberto Martinez will not just stop and watch if he passes, but actually take the time to go out of his way and watch the Under 12s, for example.

The opposite from Moyes it seems and I reckon it's brilliant myself (unless he's yewtree like).

its the Blackburn game that sticks in my mind. Barkley plays well for the first two games of the season, but tracks back and gives away a penalty, in the EXACT same way Gareth Barry did last week in our biggest game of the season, and he's hauled off IMMEDIATELY after they took it, and we dont see him for nearly a year. Absolutely terrible man management, especially considering the utter jokes we had in midfield (a combination of heitinga, neville, osman, rodwell and an over the hill Tim Cahill).

Would that have happened to Gareth Barry last week if Moyes was still manager? of course not. It never happened when Neville or Hibbert gave away numerous goals by backing off players and letting them put crosses in.

Someone mentioned that Roberto doesn't give Barkley the defensive responsibility of central midfield. Which implies there is an opportunity for even one of the 11 players on the pitch to see something other than defence as his number 1 priority. Fancy that eh? I didn't even realise that was allowed in football til this season....

Yep,I was at that game,he pretty much put Barkleys career on hold until Martinez' arrival because of that "error"

Ian ross getting stuck in now too

He's rumoured to be another who's not a massive fan of Moyes
Man in 50's in sunglasses taking selfies does not warrant my reprise.

I made the jest about book sales for Sheeds book and all it was was just a jest. Sheedy is my favourite player from the glory years and who can forget his two free kicks against Ipswich in the cup and his free kick and assist in the semi against Luton Town or my all time favourite scoring at the kop end and putting two fingers up to them with Inchy. My view is Sheedy is a reserved type of bloke, quiet and gets on with the job, but I'm glad he's opened his mouth because Southall is now not alone. More ex players from that era needed to open their mouths but unfortunately it will never happen because their still on the clubs payroll to some extent. Imagine Sheedy saying this last year and he would have been touted as being mad. Every ex pro cum pundit used to wax lyrical over Moyse and the fantastic job he's done at keeping plucky underdog Everton battling for mid table mediocrity. I for one think its a breath of fresh air and certain other ex players should also take note and not the cash and in his own way Sheedy has shown those two fingers again to a man who in my own view believed the crap that surrounded him and treated the club and supporters who stood by him with utter disrespect. Good on you Sheeds.

Well said Sheedy, who at least has won something with Everton.

It is criminal to have a good youth set up but not bring them through.

This, this so much.

I remember sitting there an thinking, the poor lad makes a mistake and this is the way he was treated. 2 other things spring to mind over this as well. First, Ross had played really well and showed determination and inventiveness in the opening games before this incident; when he was finally put back into the first team fold he looked half the player he was. Almost scared to do anything with the ball, all passes were short and he looked scared.

No compare him to this season, he's made mistakes and has suffered a drop in form; his he out of the first team fold? No; when he comes on he still wants to try things and is not worried.

Anyone else feel they were brainwashed to a degree with the ginger fella after his eleven "steady years",can't believe how in the space of less than twelve months he's gone from "hero" to virtually zero.Sheeds can say what he wants IMHO,I had the pleasure to watch him,he will always mean ten times more to me as an Evertonian than Moyes will,he was a WINNER.
