Olsen
Coleman Keane Braithwaite Nkounkou
Holgate Davies
Siggurdsson
Bernard Toshun Gordon

Dogs of war stuff but lets hope we can nick a plucky point and get off with the tails between our legs.
Pickford starts saturday, Carlo already said, and said again after last nights game

Pickford
Holgate Keane Godfrey Nkounkou
Doucoure Davies
James
Iwobi Richarlison Gordon
Would give my right nut to see that but replace iwobi with Rich and bring in DCL... not going to happen. Given up on youth progression for the time being.. these 3 points are bigger than against City.

If we are going to rotate, I think it needs to be against City who are on form, defensively solid too.

I don’t see us beating them but if we kept a strong side against Sheff United then we stand a better chance of winning. I’d take 3 points out of these two games and hopefully Carlo realises it too.

Why would we put out a lineup like that against a team we can beat? We play City 48 hours later and could lose that at full strength. What I'm looking at is basically taking a situation where you can get 3 points out of 6 and be happy enough turned into getting 1 or none for no real reason.

Lol at people thinking we've got the squad to rotate most of the team and win a game in the Premier league!
It's a bit mad. Branthwaite and Nkounkou haven't played in months, Holgate isn't a midfielder, Gordon as much as I'd love to see him has yet to really be a threat in the PL, Bernard and Tosun are just plain bad and Sigurdsson despite the weird plaudits yesterday doesn't create anything from open play even when he has the best striker in the league this season on the pitch. That team is going to struggle against Rotherham if we play it. Yet I think about 10 different posts have suggested most of these things happen.

If Carlo wants to keep the league momentum going then this is no time for experiments.
Pickford
Holgate - Keane - Mina - Godfrey
Iwobi - Doucoure - Davies - Gordon
Siggurdson
DCL
Thats the most industrious midfield we can muster and it will need to be. Putting Doucoure in with Siggy and/or Gomes is suicidal. Davies did a much better job nulifying Fernandes last night than Gomes did in the first half. Gomes and Doucoure have no understanding between them, Davies - Doucoure seem to at least have that.
Putting Gordon in is simple - we have to get crosses in to DCL to score. without James, Digne or Richy there has to be someone!

I dont agree. Sheffield is a poor team, besides Leeds, Sheffield is the worst team in terms of xG conceded and also in terms of attack, they also have pretty poor stats so far. Therefore I think a team without Calvert can still win against them. and against City, with players like James and Calvert fully fit, our chances of at least gaining a point will drastically increase- I think..
So not a huge rotation, but guys like Godfrey and Calvert must be rested.. its for the better long term.
