Think it's more to do with money personally. You can near enough put the top into wealth order most seasons.
FFP these days mate, can't use that argument anymore, spending is all monitored, even without FFP we were still a top 8 team consistently year in year out, because the mentality was instilled on the players to go out there and battle

now we go out there like poncy little tippy tappy ballerina's who have no end product and leak goals for fun, there is no sign of the players wanting to rectify this. oh its ok we will just lose 1-0 to stoke and not even attempt to comeback. oh its ok, we will just let southampton score another goal, oh its ok we won't bother putting in any effort against liverpool.

WHAT HAS HE DONE TO OUR CLUB

You said that the top teams who chop and change managers are up there for a reason. That reason is purely money, not changing managers. FFP is a relatively new implementation, and even still it will not anywhere near level any playing field.

The absolute earliest moment dismissal should even be considered is if we slip into the relegation zone and it appears evident he can't turn things around. I seriously doubt it will come to that extreme hypothetical.

If we finish 17th and trophyless this season I still wouldn't sack him. If we're in the same position in 12 months time perhaps things might change.

Playing in the Europa league has a negative impact on the league form of most sides. I wouldn't be too dissatisfied if we went on a good run in the cups and finished midtable.

Arguably this is more of a transition season for us than last season. Distin, Barry and Pienaar seem to have gone from certain starters to bit-part players and their understudies are still pretty raw. Our key young players McCarthy, Barkley and Lukaku have had their development disrupted by injury and we haven't been totally successful in integrating Naismith, McGeady and Besic into the side.

Not too dissatisfied?? I'd be bloody ecstatic!

Maybe we'll have a different attitude in the cups because there aren't the second chances that you get in the league? The table is still fairly compressed and we could climb quite quickly into the European places if we can put a run together.

Yep. Managing is about more than introducing a style and identity which works on the pitch. Davek is claiming that the players are not playing for him. That falls within his remit as a manager to solve. Time will tell if he can do that.
Davek is right about the players but a manager has to be strong.
The pressure is on martinez now and rightly so lets see what he's got

Should of been sacked after the Hull game, not even debatable. absolute shambles. Oh but wait, we don't hire and fire managers like other teams? well we should, then we would be like Spurs making good progress under Pochettino and in the running for top 4 and a trophy along with it. Steve Mc Claren please, before he's taken by Newcastle.
