Got us 5th and into Europe last season along with I believe our largest points haul in the Premier League era.

I'm inclined to give him quite a bit more time.

Admittedly, changes are in order but....it's not his fault that players like Distin, Barry, Howard, Coleman, McGeady, Baines, and others are woefully out of form right now. Absolutely nothing is coming off for this team and other teams sense this. Just gotta play through it and bag a win or two to get us back on track.

Also, admittedly, injuries certainly aren't helping the cause either.

Wouldn't mind seeing the players call a players only meeting and have it out. Get this fixed pronto.

Yeah can just see any one of the natural leaders we have pulling the guys altogether and sorting it

Skipped forward to page 32 after a 'no vote.'

I still believe in what he is trying to do, but I do get annoyed when he plays people out of position to stick to his rigid 4-2-3-1 this season. The left of the 3 is always filled by an unsuitable player because we don't have anybody.

He comes out and says we probably won't do much in the window, an extra wide player who can play left, or ideally, both wings should be top of the list. Barkley isn't that player.

Sacking him, now? I'm sorry but don't be bloody ridiculous. If I was in charge, he'd have until February to get things back to the way they were last season. A lot of these players need to step up their game big time.

As I wrote earlier there are a lot of similarities between Everton and Ferencváros this season. Our team changed a lot in the summer, nearly 10 players arrived and a lot of our best ones left tops of it Besic too. Our coach is a deliberate one, needed more than 3 months to create a working team again. For that 3 months our play was just awful to watch. The exact same slow tiki-taka, lots of back passes, boring and predictable. We suffered against low sides teams who parked the bus and in our league everyone has got just one purpose: beat us. They don't even care about other games, all the coaches say that playing against us is the match of the year for them. So it makes this twice as hard. But by the time our coach found the right players for the right positions and what's more important he's not that patient with underperforming players. If You can't prove Yourself in 4-5 occasions than You're out. It's far from rocket science, it's just the pretty poor Hungarian league ffs. For the last 4 games he even put our captain out of the squad - rightfully I have to admit because he was very poor. And from then we're pressuring, creating a lot of chances and even when we're caught on contra attacks we can step up and win the matches. But what concerns me about Martinez is that it looks like he's got no balls and willing to change formations, rotate players more and admit at least that something is just not working well. If he could than from useless boring stuff this team could easily achieve this kind of play at EPL level ( the other team is very Stoke-like in our league).

Moyes got sacked at United not because the fans or the board wanted him out, he lost his job because the players wanted him out.

So its not about what we the fans want, it doesn't matter anyway and as for the board, Bill is not the type who sacks managers and last year he was a big fan of Martinez.

So its down to the players, if he lost the dressing room or some players have issues with him, then he is as good as gone.

All the signs indicate that there is something not right behind the scene, Martinez looks lonely on the touchline.

If we lose the next 2 games (2 away games in few days) it will get interesting.

"Lonely on the touchline"
What the hell does that mean...lol

I have to confess, as an RM supporter when he was chosen, that my confidence is wavering/foundering. As Man U was too big for Moyes, is Everton too big for Martinez?. I hate to say it but I am detecting a whiff of BS in Martinez. Having said that, the playing personnel of EFC are emanating a similar whiff.
It is beyond my ITK ken to discern the exact chicken/egg sequence in all this.

What I do discern, is that something is rotten in the kingdom of L4

Those players were putting it in the effort yesterday, they were just clueless and/or cowardly when it came to taking responsibility in the final third.

'Lost the dressing room'.

The usual nonsense trotted out when any team hits a slump.

Garbutt
Stones
McCarthy
Besic
Lukaku
Mirallas
Barkley

Play them -- wheel and deal the rest in Jan and get cash from the TV money.

Maye Dave, but are we seeing that RM is a manager of limited ability as some one hinted at in another post. Over the games so far has there been a variation in tactics both before and during a game. In addition what his subbing been like, has it changed play, has it won game or saved a point.

Is it all smiles and little idea.

Coming at it from the other direction, if it was my decision to make the following would never put on an Everton shirt again:

Distin
Jagielka
Osman

Their attitude stinks and they're not up to the task of playing for us. If I was manager they'd be sitting at home now looking for a new club.
