Exactly, we were on the verge of crashing through that glass ceiling after last season. Hasn't happened for us though this season. Most worrying thing is that Martinez seems lost handling the current situation, just like the majority of our players. Not finishing in the top 7 (at the very least) will cause unrest with our top players.

Exactly clowns on here think we'll win the europa league, finish mid table, the players will be fired up and we'll be back to our best next week.

LOL sorry football doesn't work that way. Mid table finish= less of a transfer kitty for RM due to the millions lost, players like mirallas doing one rather than signing a new deal, and the club ending up selling a barkley/lukaku to have a decent kitty to bring in 3-4 players (those players not quality signings either as we don't have European football to attract them)

People need to wake up, moan about lukaku now you'll be moaning about Beckford up top for us next season!

Knee-jerk reaction Sunderland beat us at home last Boxing day with a gift of a goal - same again today imo!

Oh, you mean that Sunderland game where we went on to dominate them with 10 men, only for Mannone to deny us every time? Its not the same again today in the slightest.

Mostly in favour of keeping RM?

You've completely missed the point, haven't you? I don't care if the discussion is for or against Martinez, its the discussion in itself that I care about.

Agree totally with this mate.

I just don't think a) anyone will tell him and b) don't think he'd listen if anyone did anyway.

Then he can F off and find somewhere else then.

The last few weeks have been like watching Walter Smith or Mike Walker's Everton, back to the dark ages. We as a club have worked too damn hard in the last decade or so to see it all fade away now, all because some arsewipe has his "philosophy" and because certain people in influential positions are too timid to hit both the manager and the players with some bloody home-truths!

It either changes NOW or he should leave, and take all the garbage in the team with him.

He's doing NOTHING to remedy our problems.

I don't mind rough form if we're trying to do the right things, but he's repeating the same crap. It's not like we're just struggling a bit, we've clearly been found out. To the point were an opposition manager (Fat Sam) has said as much on national TV.

I want him to be great again because he inspired us all last season, players and fans alike, but he has become stubborn to the point of arrogance and if we stick with him for much longer what is going to happen?

Hard to disagree with this. Making the same mistakes over and over.

Bill will never get rid though even if he takes us down.

No from me but needs to be taken aside and given a good kicking :-) and advised to organise and start a team thats going to be able to adapt and show fight :-)

That's what worries me, not looking like we'll ever push for champions league football means we'll lose our best players and go back to buying championship level players.

I was told by a lot of posters directly and indirectly that because I was pro-Moyes and sceptical about Martinez' appointment that I would be first to be calling for his head when we hit a bad patch. I'm now watching a lot of the aforementioned people calling for him to be sacked or saying that they're close to getting to that point. Just months after securing our greatest points total in Christ knows how many years and winning our Europa League group with a game to spare.

it's not really that i want him sacked
i just don't think he'll turn it around and think that this is the inevitable result. Keep on dropping until bite the bullet

Not campaigning to get him sacked but if Kenwright rang me up n asked "should i back or sack Martinez?", i'd have to go with the latter because i just dont think this is ending well.
