Voted no but could change my mind by the end of Jan. The changes aren't being made. Maybe he feels they wouldn't make much of a difference. One of my major concerns is how jaded we've looked- not helped by such an ageing squad. We've got to rebuild in virtually all areas. If he doesn't make any changes in January, either tactically or in the transfer market, and we look just as poor (even with a win or two) then I'll be calling for his head. With the quality that we do have who aren't over the hill, I don't think it would take the most amazing manager to turn it around to be fair!

Pretty amazed that therrs a thread for this.

He needs this season as a transitional phase and the summer to bring in his players to play his own style.

Everyone was happy with lukaku signing as well as besic and barry -- atsu we were all very positive about too. He needs to add 3 more of his own players before we see a difference.

Nobody thinks he's doing well. It's not even a debate, he's stinking the place out. The question is whether he should be fired or not, and to do so would be a massively knee-jerk response to a dismal run.
The problem is though when something is not working and its costing you a manager in any walk of life will change things to find an answer if martinez was doing that i would imagine he would turn it round.
But its deja-vu every match and players playing out of position.
We have an amazing amount of talent yet the players are playing well below where they should be playing.
The big worry is martinez is either clueless or arrogant

I voted sack, but only because he doesn't seem to be rectifying anything and it's ultimately becoming painful to watch. Predictable, boring.

At this point we should be lamenting all the stupid draws we got, and talking about how we should've beaten the likes of Stoke etc in order to get those 3-5 extra points to close in on the top 4 before we surge into the new year.

Instead, we're talking about how bad we are and not one of us could pick a game we're going to win any time soon. That's poor.
In bold did you not see the DM years then!

The majority of the forum (myself included) are/were laughing at Liverpool for exactly the same thing that's happening here this season - new signings being duds, transitional phase after a great season etc.

Then he can F off and find somewhere else then.

The last few weeks have been like watching Walter Smith or Mike Walker's Everton, back to the dark ages. We as a club have worked too damn hard in the last decade or so to see it all fade away now, all because some arsewipe has his "philosophy" and because certain people in influential positions are too timid to hit both the manager and the players with some bloody home-truths!

It either changes NOW or he should leave, and take all the garbage in the team with him.

In fairness thats all just some scenario made up in your head. Same goes for everybody else who seems to know for a fact the manager is soft and doesn't know how to make hard decisions behind the scenes. Making stuff up in your head and then spouting on about it as if it is a fact. Like that Rafael chap really.

haha of course I did, needless to say the two words I used are probably the two most used words to describe Moyes football whilst under his tenure at Everton.

However... passing it sideways and backwards (and not even doing it well! Literally i'm shitting myself every time our defenders have the ball) and going backwards from every free kick we have in their half, is more painful and predictable than lumping the ball up to Fellaini I say! I'd love for us to have been able to do that today, plan B.

Exactly mate. This season is a write off - typical second season syndrome. It's not nice to endure, but there you go, that's just life at an under funded football club.

We'll do well in these cups that we have left and be well safe mid-table

It's all about next season now for me.

Look I have criticised RM team selections lately - no balance - build up too slow etc etc , but can you blame him for two glaring misses form Barry and KM, and the worst refereeing in the 1st half from Lee Mason??????? they went from being down to 10 men to 1-0 up with a pen that was well outside the area and the guy fell over! KM was taken out in the first 5 min no pen!

What? Positive about Atsu... he brought in his own players in Joel (flappy), Alcaraz (old), Kone (crocked), McCarthy (sound), McGeady (faith?), Lukaku (boss).

You don't need a transition phase if you did that we'll in your first season. It's not like this is his first season in the PL. Not like teams haven't played against his systems and tactics before.

The thing that annoys me about Martinez is not simply the fact we're losing and playing terrible is the fact he won't admit we're losing and playing terrible. He plays the same tactics every game and we keep on losing. I'd prefer we had a manager like Slaven Billic who actually cares whether his teams wins or loses, not how much possession they had. Martinez has absolutely no passion at all.
