In fairness thats all just some scenario made up in your head. Same goes for everybody else who seems to know for a fact the manager is soft and doesn't know how to make hard decisions behind the scenes. Making stuff up in your head and then spouting on about it as if it is a fact. Like that Rafael chap really.

How do I know the manager is soft? Because he never changes anything, it's same approach every week, that's why. There's evidence right in front of you, clearly no one is delivering any home truths and no one is recognising how bad the situation has gotten and trying to change it. It's not getting any better, it's only got worse and worse.

Keep your smart-arse Rafael comparisons to yourself.

@Azza @cronullasharks

He has no wingers other than mirallas

The keeper is shot.

Centre backs other than stones are finished.

Hes trying to stick to his beliefs and play his system...rightly or wrongly. Fair play.

What he needs now is support from the board to spend 30mil on his own players in several positions.

Half the team are developing and half are past it...he cant just revamp the side over 12 months...he needs time ans money.

I wouldn't sack him.

But what worried me today was the lack of heart, the lack of belief from the players we were going to get anything. We were playing Stoke at home ffs. That's worrying because we have three difficult league games coming up and we are not too far above the relegation zone.

Bottom line for me, we shouldn't be nor would it seem we can afford to be a club that sacks managers easily. Given this, a new manager taking over from a manager who had been here for years should be given at least a couple of seasons (for me 3...at least) to make his mark.....unless things get really disastrous and we are deep in a relegation battle with no sign of getting out.

What we are seeing here is people who can't handle defeats or a bad season in a reasonable manner, and therefore want a manager gone as if what we have seen so far this season is the only thing this manager can show us. (despite evidence to the contrary last season)

It doesn't need to be kneejerk or OTT all the time. If we the worst case scenario does not actually come then we are better off allowing a manager time, space and support to build something...as was given to the last boss.
No, being defeated and playing well is different. You can actually come away from the game with positives and think about how when it eventually clicks you'll smash teams.

Being defeated and playing like we have done for the past few months bar a few europa league games, which might I add we played counter attacking football in (or at least against wolfsburg), is absolutely unacceptable. We look terrible. If we had gotten a point or even won today I'd still be upset because we're literally that bad

He's doing NOTHING to remedy our problems.

I don't mind rough form if we're trying to do the right things, but he's repeating the same crap. It's not like we're just struggling a bit, we've clearly been found out. To the point were an opposition manager (Fat Sam) has said as much on national TV.

I want him to be great again because he inspired us all last season, players and fans alike, but he has become stubborn to the point of arrogance and if we stick with him for much longer what is going to happen?

In answer to your question....he will relegate us.

Oh ok, it must because he's gone from our most successful PL manager to someone who should be sacked in 6 months then?

Ok, yeah, let's sack him and get the good managers in.

Jesus wept.
But you call Rodgers the biggest fraud in football for exactly the same thing ? Still waiting for an answer in the other thread for that.

And yes it is an excuse and a cliché, it may just be a poor run of form and i'll be big enough to admit i'm wrong if he turns the season around.

Ive always said this year a mid table finish + good europa run is fine.

Just as long as he bloods the kids and removes the deadwood.

Then summer he rebuilds.

Exactly mate. This season is a write off - typical second season syndrome. It's not nice to endure, but there you go, that's just life at an under funded football club.

We'll do well in these cups that we have left and be well safe mid-table

It's all about next season now for me.

Good evening my faith in him as expired.
I can take getting beat and bad runs i have been through mike walker, howard 3rd time and wally smith but what i can't get my head round is doing the same thing every week with the same results.
He is doing nothing to stop the rot and to me that is not managing.
The players must be scratching their heads every week no wonder they are lost.
We have bought one of the most clinical strikers in world football in eto'o and play him in midfield and thats just 1 example of playing someone out of position.
Hope dublin was good

Hey man. Yep...I understand the frustration at the performances but I am pretty sure that in each game and each week we have actually changed up a bit and the players switch positions....so like I said before it doesnt seem as simple as Bobby putting Ross in the centre and playing with two wingers. We have played badly like that also, and have played last season like that so its not like it doesnt suit his tactics and goes against our style.

You have to acknowledge that no matter where Bobby puts them, what he says to them at half-time or what he says to the media at half-time, that he cannot legislate for a ref not doing his job...for McCarthy giving away a penalty and for several other players miscontrolling and passing poorly in this and most other games.

Theres much more to this than just the manager and for me I don't want us to be a club that picks the seemingly easy option and sacks a manager when things look bad.

I see your point mate but he's given contract extensions to a lot of these players that are finished and signed some of them too.

Not changing things means he is soft? No, not necessarily. Again thats just your opinion. Its also just your opinion on this "delivering home truths" thingy you are going on about.

Sorry for the Rafael comment.

Will have to agree to disagree mate he is lost in my eyes.
