Long ball is hopeless punts up field.

If you sign a decent midfield player who can pick out 3 pacey forwards you can massively stretch a side, it nearly won the kopites the title.

Rodgers realised he wasn't going anywhere with it so changed tactic and it nearly won them the league (albeit with suarez in the side)

They have also done it again putting sterling up top in which they have improved. That's the sign of a manager who plays to his sides strengths not one who can't play other than one way.

Damon, our average pass distace was 21m last season; the RS was 19m. So on average we played more long balls
