Ferguson?

He couldnt motivate himself when he played most of the time. Why would he be any use at motivating others? Ferguson is a Martinez disciple anyway.

Id be more worried about Royle's health than anything.

Regardless the players need to motivate themselves. Its a cup semi at Wembley! If they cant manage to do that then we are in deeper trouble than we realise.

I'm worried for my health if Martinez is still here come saturday.

As one of those 77 (I assume...) I would say "OK, lets go out and win this".

Everton comes above everything else.

Cheers for being honest and I respect your opinion. To me there is a difference in supporting the team (which I will always do) and supporting the manager!

A) Yes mate, FERGUSON, what of it...instill a bit of passion & fight about it, you can't deny he had that. And if you think he's a 'disciple' of RM's you are mistaken. He's in a job, end of...

B) Yes...yes we are. And I'm not overreacting or saying that lightly. We just are...

The players owe us a performance irrespective of who the manager is because the lack of fight and passion last night was a disgrace.

Thing is though, I've been waiting for a reaction from the players since they didn't turn up at Goodison for the Arsenal game and we've now had pretty much gutless displays against Utd, Watford, Palace, Soton and Liverpool.

Hopefully we'll turn up on Saturday, but Martinez has blown it at the club and couldn't complain if he was sacked today.

He's going to be in charge for the semi, the owners won't make a rash decision in regards to that BUT if we lose on Saturday Martinez (being a man) should resign and admit he failed.

Thats strangely hypnotic

Only game they turned up for was chelsea. Hope they decide to pull their finger out again, lazy gits

No I disagree strongly with this to be honest. Ferguson showed fight and passion when he could be bothered. He obviously loves Everton but he is not this feisty bloke that we think he is. He is actually pretty quiet and laid back most of the time.

Obviously we can only go on things we have heard but by the sounds of it he buys in to Martinez and what he does. As he would do really seeing as it was him who employed him. If you want change (and no doubt we all do) you need something new.

Not sure why Ferguson is in caps? I call all footballers etc by their last name. They aint my mates and its nothing personal. I dont do nicknames.

Players aren't arsed and the manager is incapable of motivating them.

I will get stick for this but I'd happily forego a Pyrrhic victory in the cup if winning it means he stays.

Short term, short lived "success" at the expense of the long term future.

Ambition breeds success. Making the right move now will allow many more chances at trophies.

Who'd be thinking of the cup when we are in a relegation battle next season.

A) Yep. But then again he has to be for the most as it's his job and the manager is the manager and, ultimately, all backroom staff work to task, if they didn't, they wouldn't be backroom staff, it's that simple.

B) Doesn't, without question. But again, it's his job.

FERGUSON is in caps mate because it's simply a quirk inherited from a previous employ, apols...it's no more nor less than that.

Dont get me wrong the idea of a change is fine with me. Im just not convinced we have the people to implement that change especially with only 2 days to work with.
