He may have bought McNeil but the decision to sell Richie was purely a financial decision. Wasn't even a football choice.

Thelwell so far has brought in players who aren’t good enough for the clubs they where at:

Dele - not good enough for spurs
McNeil - not even good enough for relegated Burnley
Maupay - not good enough for Brighton, judging my tonight that’s because they have completely upgraded on him

He has brought in a load of new people from sport science and scouting teams with a new head of the academy.
