Absolutely not his decision to sell richarlson, his involvement was finding a replacement, McNeil is the furthest away from a replacement to Richy you will ever find. Like chalk and cheese., He's horrific.

He’s come from Wolves who had a vision once he left, which was basically sign a load of decent Portuguese players.

Thelwell so far has brought in players who aren’t good enough for the clubs they where at:

Dele - not good enough for spurs
McNeil - not even good enough for relegated Burnley
Maupay - not good enough for Brighton, judging my tonight that’s because they have completely upgraded on him

I mean who is accountable for these poor, poor players.

Keep him in charge of the football department, but bring in a proper director of recruitment. Kev clearly knows how to set a Club up, I've been impressed with the off-field changes like implementing a loans manager etc... but we clearly need an experienced recruitment head.

People talk about sacking managers every year being bad but if you want to see us trying to rebuild from the 8th tier or whatever then sacking DOFs every season is the way to go and ensure that.

He was actually held in high regards at Wolves. Was also a target for Newcastle to be the DOF
