Silly Season January 2014

This reminds me very much of Daves tirade last summer against the board after David Moyes had left and the process to appoint a new manager was in progress.

He was adamant there would be an internal appointment, that no money would be spent and the club would go into a downward spiral.....he was wrong on all counts.

He is again stirring the pot in this window, based on nothing but his own dislike of Bill Kenwright. We already have signed one player and I would bet that even RM couldn't be certain if he can sign players this month given the difficulty of operating in the transfer market, but it does seem as if we know at least two players he would like to sign if possible.

I am not an advocate for Bill Kenwright, but in the absence of a billionaire owner I am happy with how the club is being run.
I am happy with the two managers appointed by Bill Kenwright and I was very happy with the last transfer window and I trust RM when he said we would finis this window stronger.

Debate is one thing, constant negativity is another. Let's wait until February 1st before we praise or condemn the club.

Let,s hope we do something becuase we cannot go into the most important derby game in 10 years with Osman and Naismith.

What did the 'good week' thing turn out to be?

Do we know yet?

I'm pretty sure that DAVIDMOYES realised that most people on GOT love to go mental over the smallest inkling that something might happen and love to argue and wind each other up over whether or not it (whatever it may be) will/will not happen.

So he just popcorned us telling us it'll be a good week, when in fairness, with us all loving to argue and moan it has been so far :)

To summarise, we are signing Lukaku permanently.

all sorts of rumours thats its Lukaku, but some of the figures seem awfully low, wait and see i suppose

If we signed Lukaku on a permanent for the next five years, I'd be bouncing around the room. He's nowhere near what he's going to be and he's still a potent weapon.

Don't think it will happen but... one can hope.

It's the type of signing needed to restore faith that Martinez indeed has the backing alluded at to when he first joined as manager mate

So....just so I don't have to check thru several pages of board criticism and speculation of a 'good week' without anyone seemingly knowing what this good week may consist of, can anyone kindly fill me in on the latest on the following...

1) Jela still going to Hull? (fee agreed & still due for talks?, has he has a medical ect)
2) Johnny H on his way? (has anything concrete come in with regard to him coming off the wage bill?)
3) Any incomings, been linked with a few strikers? (is it a case of free-ing up the wage bill & getting some transfer money in?)
4) any confirmed interest in anyone, other than wild speculation?

Thanks in advance guys(y). Sorry if I'm being blunt and to the point but I refuse to get involved in some of the moaning and negativity on here, more so given the excellent season we are having & the exciting future we surely have with Martinez at the helm & an excellent squad at his disposal.

1. Yes, as long as he can agree terms etc, he will be.
2. Hopefully, nothing new since the West Ham move fell through, but it looks like he'll be off.
3. Not really, that Belgian Liege striker is constantly being linked this window.
4. All guess work mate.
