Martinez in the years that Kenwright is alive and breathing on this earth has to bring in your Baines, Jagielka's, lescotts, colemans, Oviedo's, mirallas's, pienaars for £3-5 mil each season otherwise we will slip down to mid table with mid table players like Jones, Kone and Mcgeady. Some people need to put the RAWK cult like devotion to Martinez down for a second and objectively look at the sitation

I think the point he was trying to make is that Kone is far from the most technically gifted player. At Wigan he was a willing runner and a decent finisher, nothing more. Kenwyne Jones offers a good physical presence but lacks genuine Footballing ability when the ball is played in to feet.

the signings Martinez is making wont get us higher than mid table when above players age/retire and your Jones's, Mcgeady's, Kone's are in the starting XI. We couldn't afford them, yet here they are. Every one of them has chipped in with the scoring, two of them have been ever present, and the other is a fantastic impact sub. As I said earlier, he's used permanent signings to strengthen the area anyone could see up front that we were obviously thin on: the bench.

If he doesn't do more than keep Baines and Barkley, and bring in McGeady by the end of this window, I'll be a bit wary. If Summer goes by and nothing of note happens, it starts to be a serious worry. As it is, it's his first season, he's had a very good debut transfer window, and there's half of the current window left to go. Under Moyes I'd have fallen out of my chair with the amount of action we've seen so far.

Martinez see's the squad use as vital part of our progression, this means signing squad type players. We can't afford to be signing £10 mil substitutes unfortunately. His only big money signing is a key member of the team, I also think Kone would have played a lot more of a role so far had he been fit

We spend the least out of all 20 Premier League clubs in the summer, after selling our star player for almost 30million pound, only for us to sign the likes of Kenwyn Jones, McGeady and Kone.

its terrifying the siege mentality that has been created since Moyes done one, its become borderline RAWK style blind devotion to everything the manager does on here.

The fact STOKE - a mid table/relegation side who are made up we are signing a player who cant even get in their side, has a worse attitude, and less goals than jelavic- doesn't that set alarm bells ringing? if not im not even gonna bother mate.
