Samaras would be a good option as a number 3 striker. If we got the lad from Liege and also had Samaras on the bench that could be a very strong hand Martinez has to play as we move through the next 4/5 months.

I think it's a smoke screen mate for when Bobby goes and persuades Diego Costa that we're the team to be at and that he should pay his own transfer fee to come here.

Other teams be like whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattt.
 
Odds have shortened on us signing that "Traore" dude from Monaco(I think) on loan.

1. Can we have any more loans?
2. If West Ham want him, do we?

I know it sounds like i'm just being picky.

But i don't demand the 'best'. I just want someone better than the likes of samaras and jones.. it's like theres no middle ground.

Wasn't pointing that out or anything mate. I agree with you, I think we need one striker that is as good as we can realistically afford, and maybe another youngster if we can.
 
Samaras is 28 and on a free. He has bags of experience in the CL and as a Greek international. He's played 414 games in total (Dutch League, PL, SPL) and scored 113.

As a striker down the picking order from Lukaku and another yet to be brought in I honestly couldn't see the issue. His wages are probably around 25K at Celtic.

Maybe I missed the takeover and we can now spend 10M on a third string striker?
