He’s the chairman it’s the culture he’s created.

Older generation go on about John Moore’s how good he was as a chairman always expected the best not our current chairman.

passion for Everton? Cheeky git probably been more aways than you had hot dinners.

Question my opinion don’t question my passion you crab.

There was a great interview with Roman Abramovich recently which highlighted the winning culture from the top he has helped create with his ruthlessness:

“I think the trophies speak for themselves and show what we as a club have been able to achieve over these years,” Abramovich told Forbes. “And it’s my goal for us to keep winning trophies going forward and build for the future.

Chelsea has a very rich history, and I feel extremely fortunate to play a part in that. The club was here before me, and will be here after me, but my job is to ensure we are as successful as we can be today, as well as build for the future."

Compare that to Kenwright and Mosh's early days of his tenure with the "expected losses" comments and there is deffo a loser culture about the place.

Keeping Brands on will only add to that.

We will win a trophy under Carlo, that I’m sure of, the pieces are there, just the depth missing. We have 30 points and no distractions now to get Europe, I’m convinced we’ll do enough to get that

Yes, a trophy is definitely on its way under Carlo. It might be in Europe but he'll win us something.

I agree that it’s not all doom and gloom, and that some wise investment in the summer could see us strengthen into a strong team. The Europa League is cack tho, and it will inevitably lead to us being turned over by a group of players that cost less than Sigurdsson.

It happened to Leicester and Spurs this season, and it will happen to us should we play in the Europa League next season. The Europa League is a boring waste of time and energy that will also impede our performance in the league. It’s not worth it.
To get a better quality of player we need European football, if it has to be the Europa then so be it. We were only an embarrassment last time out because Koeman couldn’t be arsed managing games. We done well under Martinez in it until the Kiev collapse and we had a good run under Moyes in the old format, either of them or Carlo in charge during that Koeman season and we don’t go out early much less embarrassed at home and away

Today shows it’s getting harder to win something as each year passes - city have now got a squad that can easily compete for every trophy - to win a domestic cup you have to beat them - even if we won today there’s still Utd and chelsea. In the carabao cup poor little spurs with a front line of son Kane and bale are massive underdogs in the final..... will take a monumental step up in recruitment to give us a shot

I don’t believe Europa League qualification enables clubs to attract a better quality of player. Nobody cares about the Europa League. It’s about as attractive as a night out in The Grafton.

I don't we are going to win anything ever again to be honest , we just haven't got it in us , the players are very happy losers.
It’s not the players, it’s the club. Players who have won stuff come here with a winning mentality, say all the right things (Fabian Delph a recent example), until that mentality is quickly is drained from them.

It’s a glass half empty club.

If a player is that good he will choose a club either in the CL or that can offer him medals, we are unfortunately neither and Europe League qualifying wont change that.

Yeah and you are a glass half empty person.lol That was the best team in europe we played, and we gave it a good go. We've beaten the reds at their own dunghole, and that rs side have been shown up as one season wonders. Ancelotti has done very well, with what is a poor squad. He is the man that will return this club to glory. It's disappointing that we lost, but the City side of the last decade, is one of the greatest teams of all time.

I agree that the CL and the chance of winning worthwhile medals are attractive, but I think even they come secondary to wages in most cases. I’d also argue that just playing in the Premier League is more prestigious and more attractive than playing in the Europa League.

Participating in the Europa League is like going to the Grafton because you’ve been denied entry to Kensington Roof Top Gardens.
