How am I going to get mad at that Everton squad for losing that match ? We are multiple levels below City with no realistic way of ever catching them. Literally no player in our starting 11 would start for City and yet people getting salty we lost ?

Should be getting mad that a club is allowed to have a squad like Cities, football is lame as feck.
I don’t think the gripe is yesterday, the gripe is 27 years.

The gap between the RS and Chelsea in ‘05 was bigger than the gap between the teams yesterday, so this helpless attitude you (and many others) exude just makes the task much more difficult. The game vs City was played in an empty stadium so obviously this attitude cannot be blamed for having an influence on the defeat, but it can for so many over the 27 years.

As I mentioned previously, the mentality of the club is largely stemmed from the belief in the stands. Chelsea, and so many others, have crumbled at Anfield. This doesn’t happen at Goodison. You don’t see Mourinho say this about Goodison:

This is complete myth.

Been enjoying watching videos of the ‘95 Cup final...pre match Labone and Ratters with Des Lynam, Joe Royle and Fergie with Barry Davies, the game itself, and then this post match interview by Ray Stubbs with four players. Dave Watson is asked “what will this do for the blue half of the city of Liverpool?”...he responds “it will really get it going again, we’ve been asleep for a few years now, and this has really got us going”

If only they all had his mentality over the years.

If Ancelotti is properly backed, then he will make us winners again. As a club, we have had a lot of disappointments over the years i admit. But we are a stable top flight club, we could easily ended up like Sheffield Wednesday, but thankfully we didn't.

And now we have a world class manager, and hopefully a boss new stadium in a few years. Your always belittling the club, but there's a lot to be positive about. We have 9 league titles 5 fa cups a european trophy, and no other club has played more seasons in the top flight than us. The vast majority of clubs in England, would love to have a record like that.

26 years without a trophy is very disappointing alright, but that's the way it goes. No club is entitled to success. Trophies have to be earned, and over the past 26, or should i say 34 years, we just haven't done enough to earn them. But moaning about it won't change a thing. All we can do is look to the future, and hope that better times are around the corner.

Another season and another wave of excuses by our fan base.

Just going to highlight the fact that Manchester City have won our best chance if w trophy for the last 3 seasons, and in the final for the 4th straight year.

It’s not an excuse, not at all, but League cup used to be the easy trophy to win, because the big sides didn’t take it seriously, that all changed about 10 years ago.
