My missus has been coughing for days doing my head in ,her dad recommended a scotch, we had bells here she had a glass boom asleep no coughing, best scotch in the world imo lollol

I sometimes pick up blisters from my running . To burst them I sterilise the needle with Bells, glad you’ve found another use too ??

I’m on Port Charlotte 10 yo heavily peated

1) it’s not that heavily peated
2) it’s 50% of goodness
3) it’s pretty damn good

You gotta give it to the Bruichladich peeps. They know how to make a whisky

I had a bottle of that a couple of Christmases ago. Enjoyed it very much.

In light of this afternoons news I have opened this.



It's a duty free only offering, but I'd recommend it to anybody if they're flying through anywhere.

Very smooth and buttery. Imagine a single malt that goes down like a really nice Chardonnay.

Straight into my top 5. A really easy sip.

So I have just finished the two bottles I bought myself for Christmas (below)....., my first foray into single malts. I have to say while I enjoyed them both immensely, the McCallan's was way smoother, and a much more enjoyable dram. No ice, no water, straight as. Regarding the Highland Park - it was a little harsh.

So I'm looking for suggestions. I'm willing to try an earthy (peat??) and/or smokey single malt, but not too heavy. However, smooth, fruity and sherry oak aged is my preference.
