Anyone have about $700 laying about? Saw this bottle at the aeropuerto in Buenos Aires and it has my name all over it. Literally. The C in OBC is for Craig (not cookie.)

I read that as "Craig will like."

Just cracked open a bottle of...

Nice solid bourbon. This is the one foxy Mila Kunis has been floggin on the telly and it's well worth the extra few quid over regular JB, though I'd probably go for Buffalo Trace or even Wild Turkey over this in the same price range. They've also just put out a pre-prohibition style rye but I've been trying a few different ryes lately so I went for this, keen to try it though.

Curious about this one. Been recommended by a friend. However a quick search and I see the 1l bottle priced as around $US20 and, wait for it, $AUD262 down here. Quite the discrepancy.

Is it a top ended in the UK, or is the Australian site a scam?

New to me that one mate. I'd exercise caution for now.

I don't touch the malt, but apparently Glenfiddich have a new one. IPA experiment.
Uses old pale ale casks or something ?
It's supposed to be decent.
Don't blame me if its gash like.

In my quest for the best in cheap whisky I have purchased another bottle from Lidl, this time it's a Ben Bracken Highland Single Malt https://www.lidl.de/de/ben-bracken-highland-single-malt-scotch-whisky-40/p247713 weighing in at £17.99. It's a bit more refined than the last tasting from Lidl (The Abrachan) but for me it's a little too sweet, I like a bit of firewater in my whisky. It would be perfect for those that like the Glenfidich 12 YO as it's a smooth drink, probably ideal for those starting out. Overall, a bargain, nothing spectacular but goes down well enough

I've just tried the Abrachan and it's not bad. Certainly good for the price. I've never found Glenfidich to be a particularly smooth drink. Certainly not in the way that Glenlivet or Glenmorangie are. If it's a really smooth dram you like, Bushmills 10 year old single malt is very smooth.

The Coop had a bottle of it's own branded single malt for sale not long ago and it is actually a rebranded Dalmore 12, which retails at around £40. The Coop were selling it for about half that.

I'll keep an eye out for that
