Are we signing Michael Jordan?????
Let's get it done now somehow FFS. When is the MLS deadline?
You could make a case that our late starts are (in some part) because our INs are always so late and are OUTs tend to be late -- not to mention often some contentious (Lescott) team spirit unsettling scenarios -- that of course we don't get a good start after such an unsettled summer. Three new players in (two of whom are already proven to work well with our players) and nobody significant out (could still sell Anichebe ... I live in hope) would be our first positive summer in ages.

Michael Jackson could dig us out of a hole
The MLS deadline was on saturday which saw no additions to to LA Galaxy. Keeping that in mind it would be highly unlikely the Galaxy would send their starting forward and captain during this season. LA could conceivably miss the playoffs which would end their MLS season late October. Since Donovan is still under contract, he wouldn't be able to sign with EFC until January.
I dunno all the transfer rules but I will assume EFC and LA could come to terms before the end of the EPL transfer date with the further assumption that LD arrive in November?
Not unless the MLS/LA Galaxy were willing to terminate his contract early, only free transfers and loans to lower division sides can be registered after the September deadline, any deal agreed would have to wait until the January window IIRC.
Perhaps the plan agreed is that Donovan joins on the last day of the English Window, by which point Galaxy's season will be all but done...
It wont. They still have Keane, Johnson and Noonan tho I would venture to say their brazillian La Petit will get the nod before Pat Noon. And probably a 4-5-1 if for some reason Keane and LD go down.
Winter does look about right for the move at this point.

The more you look at it.. IF anythings going to happen the more likely it will be January. Plus let's not forget landy cakes is gonna need a 4 week break/rest somewhere, he's been playing without a break for a while now.
Maybe January would be best all round...would get a rest - finish off MLS season - low fee for us - bit of a pick me up for us and the squad come January.
