Sir Landon Of Donovan

Looked decent enough last time considering he's a chubby, aging smoker. And the league isn't as jarg as you say. It's not great, but the MLS teams play pretty well vs English competition when given a chance.

PS- Is it fun for you to live your life with such negativity? I mentioned it as a hypothetical question, and I made that obvious.

I appreciate the effort, and see your point. And thanks for supporting the league. The trolls don't get it.

It's nothing in comparison to the EPL though, come on?

Exactly.

I fail to see how Robbie Keane doing well in the MLS, even though we've already seen he's way past his best in the Premier League, justifies us taking him on loan.

I was a massive fan years ago and wanted us to sign him but he's, quite clearly, past it now.

Fair enough, you keep this façade that Robbie Keane could do a job for Everton up and I'll focus on hoping Everton completely overlook him and get someone of a much higher quality in.

And it's not negativity, it's called be a realist.

That's fine, but there's no need to be a tit about it. I posted the question in terms of his chemistry with Donovan, not because he'd be the best individual talent we could get. As we showed on Monday, a team is better than individuals.

Nobody's being a 'tit' about it. We've been past Keane since at least 2009, we should be aiming for better than him.

As for chemistry, I take your point but Donovan can play off Jelavic, a much better player.

Fair enough. It will be interesting to see how those two work together if Landon returns.. Jela would love the service Donovan can provide.

Where would be play?

--------------- Jelavic
-- Pienaar ----- Fellaini ------- Mirallas

At this point, you'd really prefer Mirallas? A player you've seen how many times? A player who has never even suited up for us before? Donovan all day on the right for me. We know how much of a positive impact he can make. Let Mirallas at least take the pitch before you pencil him in a starter.

I don't think that Moyes would of spent £5m on the lad if he's not gonna play.

Donovan did have poor games at Everton, let's not forget this now. I remember Moyes giving him a right bollocking for standing around and not doing anything.

Name me a player with a decent run of games who hasn't (Although it's tough for me to remember Felli having one). Donovan has been far more positive than anything, and has helped us turn our season around twice. How many times have you seen Kevin play? He can't be perfect or bids greater than ours would have been pouring in. Don't get me wrong, I have really high hopes for him and think he'll be a great addition, but he hasn't done anything.

Fellaini was shocking during his first few games.

I just don't want us signing older players again, it's like having Walter Smith again FFS.
