Sir Landon Of Donovan

He is a great player and if he improves us and we win more games then how can anyone be against him coming back. So what if it upsets other players. All big teams have players unhappy sat on the bench

So he comes for 8 weeks or whatever, upsets half the team then does one back to LA.......we then have the rest of the season with an unhappy squad who are not gonna be arsed ....pro's and cons to him coming here.

He's not too bothered about coming back, we're not too bothered about signing him. So it seems to be at the moment.

With Gueye and Pienaar likely to miss seven domestic fixtures in January and February due to the ACoN, I suspect Donovan would get a few games if he were to pay us another visit. And he wouldn't be putting any noses out of joint - quite the opposite: he would fit into a rotation with Mirallas, Naismith, Oviedo and Osman (Hopefully Coleman will by January be getting significant time at RB) and I wouldn't expect any of them to completely miss more than one of those seven games.

A known quantity on loan at an exact moment of need - what's not to like?

Just to whip out and give this old chestnut a polish. We are missing the 'Landon Effect' and I'll tell you why. As good as he is and as much of a breath of fresh air Kevin Mirrales is right now,he is leaving a gaping hole on our right hand side. Like a teenager desperate to gain the attention of the school football manager, Kevin runs around, chasing the ball and constantly makes himself 'available' to other players. But his keeness and determintation to be part of the build up, as he wanders around the midfield, leaves our 'wide' option vulenerable. Forcing us to play down the left, through a crowded middle or the much dreaded- give to Heitinger / Jags, for the obligatory hoof up front. With Landon, he stuck to the wings like glue and played as a more versitile 'winger' which gave our defenders and midfield maestros the option to go left or right and keep the opposition guessing. Don't get me wrong, I truly believe that Kevin's doing a sterling job at the moment, I'm just worried that his over exhuberence, may come back to bite him on the ass and wear him out too quickly. :(
