Anyone else see the Davey article were he said hes trying Belg Kev out on the right side "prob not his natural position" and sees him moving more central in the future.

A front three behind Niko of :

Don - Belg Kev- Pienaar

Exactly where he should be imo, make the most of his attacking flair without having to worry about defensive capabilities. Also means we can move Fellaini back to CM which is his BEST POSITION !

Ha, probably.

The thing is last year our wingers were Gueye, Bily, Coleman and Osman and we all wanted Landon more than we wanted oxygen and for good reason but we've signed four wingers over the summer. Four. Surely your opinions shift on how needed he is after doing that.

Bit of a stretch that mate!

I'd only class Kev as a proper winger.

We need him less, sure. But I can't see any reason not to bring him back. He has shown he can make a positive impact in a short space of time.

Who are the four wingers ?

Naismith Oviedo Mirallas ?

The thing about the Landon is though he can play in a number of positions apart from out on the wing so im not othered about an influx of wingers: out wide, in the hole, up front or deeper in central midfield.

I dont think its an if he comes in - someone will necessarily miss out, it gives us options/compitition and cover for Niko, Mofro, Osman/Gibbo, Belg Kev even Pienaar id imagine.

Plus bags of quality.

I like Mirallas outwide, personally. Preferably left, and I'd like to see him switch flanks a bit more, but he's good on the right for now. His best qualities seem to be his pace, dribbling ability and movement in behind, playing on the flanks is perfect for a player of his style. I don't really see a link up, playing in-between the lines player, his natural instinct is to run beyond the ball. I think if you play him in that role he's going to play like more of a striker, making darting runs into space.

EFC is starting to get a lot of commentator/pundit praise for its flexibility; at least during games I have watched on tv. A Donovan signing is an extension of that. So long as the price is right, I'm still happy to see him at EFC.
