Sir Landon Of Donovan

Exactly where he should be imo, make the most of his attacking flair without having to worry about defensive capabilities. Also means we can move Fellaini back to CM which is his BEST POSITION !

After watching Fellaini play as well as he has this year behind the striker I'm surprised people still think he's better playing deeper.

None of which are wingers, even Magaye was a striker before he came. We have two wingers in eth squad, OViedo and Miralles.

Oviedo's primarily a full back like.

The fact is while I understand there's differences between wingers, wide midfielders and wide forwards, they still play in the same position in the team. Xavi, McCann and Gerrard are very different players but you still can only have three of them on the pitch at the same time.

We're gone out in the last four months and bought four players who occupy the same place in the team as Landon does. Pienaar and Mirallas for the first team and Oviedo and Naismith for cover. Our need for Donovan is at pretty much the lowest it's ever been.

Personally if I was ranking the five of them, Landon would be third. But we've seen so little of Oviedo and Naismith that it's almost unfair to do so.

And shuffle Fellaini back?

Six months ago I might have agreed with you but I think we'd miss him up top, I really would.

Maybe so i like him there myself, but i think we could do a Ya Ya on it i.e. play deep and if we are hunting push him up - i think he may have to soon, i can see teams in the future doubling up on him to take him out of the game especially whe it comes to aerial balls and set peices.

The one massive dimension to our game that has been added this season is pace - The majority of our goals have come as a result of getting in behind - Donovan only adds to that. Remember knocking endless balls in the box for Cahill or trying to breakdown two deep banks of four with no pace. Im surprised people havnt mentioned it more - the pace in the side gives us a massive new dimension and really has added to what was good that was already there.

TBH mate if we had a front 4 of Nicko, in front of Pienaar, Belg Kev, Donavon would be awsome with Baines, Coleman, Mofro coming from deep for the second phase. I wouldnt complain.
