Remember coming back from one of our semi finals at villa park (Sheffield Wednesday?) and a coach with all the everton directors overtook us on the m6. Sat at the back holding a cigar and a glass of plonk sat sir Philip, waving happily to us slack jawed gawkers on the eavesway charabang.

Not old enought to remember him but reading up on him sounds like a boss fella back when we were one of Europe's elite.
