Just seen the score and cannot believe it! Okay two own goals but no idea up the other end of the pitch. Why was Del on the left that is not his natural place? Add to that the ref must have been a Saints supporter from what I have read.

$th spot gone now I have to say and with Spurs winning, can we hold onto 5th?? Not good I think Roberto needs to look at his plans and team selection, he screwed it up against CP and this seems no better. Heavens if you are bit short give a young player a chance.

I know mate, No idea what the clown is playing at

What formation do you think he should try out against City?

What position do you play pal? Do you think you and I could replace Kone and Alcaraz between us? Someone get on the blower to RM pronto! ;)
That's the best part mate, i'll play anywhere that our man Martinez wants to play me! I'm sure you would too haha!

Put me upfront today and i've had at least scored 1 or 2, maybe out of 15 chances but yeah, more than Lukaku did today ^^

Edit: Oh and my first touch is deffo an 8/10, that's got to count for something.

Work to do to finish 5th now. 7th would be just horrible.
Not to finish top 6 would require all 8 games still to be played by us, Utd and Spurs to go against us ie we lose both ours, Spurs win both theirs and Utd win all 4 of theirs. Not going to happen......is it.............?

...we didn't really create and when that happens it is disappointing. We had a pen, but regardless we didn't create enough and for me that is the most disappointing factor. Still, lets not be too critical, done fantastically well. Major crossroads in Everton's existence when Moyes left, and we seem to be ok.

Bit harsh on the manager who has us playing better football and has got us more points than ever in the EPL. He has got his team selection right more times than wrong.......just look at the league table....then apologise for hurting Roberto's feelings.

4th deffo gone now, I hope this doesn't hamper the business we can do in summer, need a quality striker and centre back in his prime to replace alcaraz. I'm just scared we don't pick up more points and spuds come ahead of us, then that would be a disaster. Given it's rm's first season, I'm would have taken 5th at the start and pushing arsenal all the way till the end. The quality of passing needs to improve to break teams down for next season, proven in games like cp home and away and today. Still gutted there was not much fight shown in the players, whenever we are loosing, it's like we think we can't win, only game we have been loosing and shown fight was the derby at home. Loved watching stones again though, get so excited with his potential.

Baffled me that one. Ged moved on the right once, beat his man and whipped in a great cross yet spent the rest of his time on the left. Very odd. Worse game I've seen Coleman or Barry have all season. Not much chance coming back from two individual errors but not getting a penalty was absolutely ridiculous refereeing yet again.

Fact is we played as badly at Sunderland, and got 3 pts. Southampton though are far better than Sunderland. As is usual with Everton, as soon as we get a stroke of good fortune (ie winning by an OG at Sunderland after playing badly) we very quickly see it balanced out by bad fortune (ie losing today by OGs after another crap performance). Contrast this with certain teams whose runs of good luck seem to go on and on and on........

Every team has those games though, and it's a testament to how well we've been playing to say that this was majorly disappointing.

Under Moyes we would have dominated possession and created nothing at all haha!

COYB and In martinez we trust
