Got to laugh over people on here saying Rodriguez was poor. If that was poor then let's hope he stays poor. On the ball he was brilliant, as usual. The problem was the team. To anyone who hadn't had the good fortune to see his performances so far and so was watching him for the first time he'd have stood out as the top performer.
In contrast there are others who thought Allan played well. He was awful. If Tom Davies had been caught out of position so often in one game and been walked past in some many instances he'd have been slated. And why CA decided to push him forward having taken Doucoure off heaven knows. To my (albeit limited) knowledge he hasn't ever played as a forward midfielder.
He was poor today mate. It happens. Don’t understand why some can’t believe a great player can have a poor game and James did.

I think you are being guilty of overmodesty...did you not play football at a professional level.? I am certain we have a member who has played at a very high level and he would be about your vintage.
Sadly, not. Always second to the last pick at school footie, and my main value was a knack of zig-zagging between 2 opposition defenders to get both of them concentrating on me, and free space for one of our lot who could actually play. Sorry to disappoint.

From what I saw, the red mist came down, he chased him back, had a couple of wee digs and then ‘waterskied’ on the lads foot for about a metre...think that’s what done for him...

slow motion will make it not worth contending imo.

The slow motion video actually makes it look more accidental in all honesty.

Well the laws of the game say its not a red...all the ex players are saying its not a red....anyone who runs behind a player trying to slow down with their hands up gets a yellow...

But you think its a red lol

Keane lost his head...he was galloping down the left, we lost the ball and guess what...another attack gifted to them.
Come on...he trod on his ankle...nothing to do with holding his hands up. And what do the majority of ex pl;ayers know, seriously?

I hope we contest it as its was a booking at best dont think he intentionally stamped on the lad

Intent has nothing to do with it. This seems to be a popular myth with thick pundits and americans.
It's how dangerous the action is that determines the card and colour.

If they review it only the second before contact he might stand a chance, but having taken 2 (missed) kicks at him prior to that the idiot deserved what he got. The ball had gone and so had Digne's head.

But it's a useful distraction from the fact we were out thought and out played with some ease.

I think todays game goes to show how much we miss Richarlison, how can we ever find a cover for him

Players like Richarlison are irreplaceable for us. Our whole play doesn’t depend on him like many think it does but he offers things that no other player does, his work rate, his energy, his ability to keep hold of the ball and slow the game down, his movement and pulling defenders away to open up space, Iwobi doesn’t do any of these things.
