That is a bold statement.

Is sportpesa confirmed?
If so utterly utterly embarrassing, how tin pot can we get lollol
something that isn't an african betting company in all honesty. What's a "good" sponsor?
something that isn't an african betting company in all honesty.
Something distinctive, a company that people know.
and one that will do something about their sponsorship, unlike bloody chang who didn't stock itself in very many places from my experience

There is obviously better names and logos and more glamorous corporation's we could have plasterd on our top but where any of them willing to pay more or even match sportpesa? My guess would be obviously no, funny how there hasn't been a massive fuss about a beer(allegedly) company sponsoring us,
You can't just object to everything that can cause harm in people's lives because that's a bit to nanny state for me, and banning or hiding things doesn't stop the problem, not everyone who has a drink turns into an alcoholic just like not everyone who likes a bet turns into a gambling addict

Obviously we don't know the answer to that, but if Elstone had ultimate responsibility for this then I would not be too sure there weren't better options out there.
That might be harsh, and unrealistic considering our circumstances but SportPesa seem to be the sort of company who would go looking to attach themselves to a Premier League club, and they were already in that market with Hull.
I dislike the preponderance of gambling companies in PL sponsorship but my moral qualms aren't that great.
I just think it somewhat reduces us to the tier of club that seemingly can attract gambling sponsorship, and no other type.
I hope we haven't tied ourselves in long-term. For me it will me a sign of clear progress commercially when we can graduate to a more "mainstream" shirt sponsor. Our history in this, apart from NEC, has not been exactly stellar.
Firstly they're a betting company, with all that's in the news about gambling and its links to football I think it's poor taste to bring attention to another lot.Again, why?

Secondly we don't exactly need the money, I understand football is a business but why not bring attention to something positive such as EITC rather than a betting firm
Thirdly their logo is crap.
