I don't like kneejerk calls, as after that Arsenal game you thought wow, it looks like a Mourinho team. Went top I believe. But since then, I'd love to see their form. They were poor against Fulham and tonight woeful. Really woeful. Even the disallowed goal is badly defended, people not making any effort to block crosses.

This will sound harsh, but I hope Kane has done his ankle badly. He has kept them affloat at times and without him they are a shell of a team. There must be some residual weakness in the ankle, and given the previous injuries if he's done it again it might be 3 months again out. It will also get some traction in the national press too, that Thiago did him, so wil highlight some of the hypocrisy re Pickford/VVD.

They look a completely different team to the one that played Arsenal that day. Don't now whats happened at all, but I tell you what, they could end up 10th or lower if they are not careful.

The kneejerk calls were the ones that thought they could actually challenge for the title. Been saying since the opening day that top 4 would be a fantastic season for them. I don’t think they’re going to get it.

They’re a direct rival for a European spot which is huge for or us this season and going forward. They’ve bought poorly recently and don’t have any young players coming through, they’re also weak financially due to their stadium. If they have a mini collapse on the back of a Kane injury then missing out on Europe could be and for them long term as Levi cannot bank roll a rebuild unless they sell Kane or Son.

I just want us to show our quality in the cup game and move onto the quarter final. We’re at home, it will be a difficult game but when you see Spurs playing like that there’s no reason we can’t beat them if Kane is out.

Thanks for releasing an army of cultists to infest social media for the next week talking up the genius of Klopp playing Thiago further up the pitch.
