When Moshiri is paying £100 million into the groundwork for BMD out of his own pocket you or I dont get a say on who he appoints as manager mate thats the way it is.

If you want to have a say in a football club you need to follow a lower league / SPL / Bunderliga outfit who ain't touched by the blood money of the Premiere League.
I can't imagine that the fans in the SPL have much of a say or I doubt Celtic would have such underwhelming managerial appointments nor would have Rangers fans have let their club die

1990 is a stretch and a half...

The % lost from fans who buy fake shirts and watch illegal streams is miniscule.

Such a bizarre comment.
I think the point is, not how much the clubs lose due to these fans, but rather how little these fans contribute to the clubs.

Its a total nonsense of a comment whichever side its taken from.

On the one hand the clubs dont actually 'lose' any monetary capital of note without those fans watching on Sky etc and the 'loss' from fake rather original shirts would be miniscule.

If you flip it back to the direct contribution those fans have outside of the monetary aspect then clearly you have the added value to sponsors, global brand recognition and the marketing benefits amongst other things.

If you solely look at the comment from a business case then its nonsense.

If you solely look at the comment from a fan and 'love for the game' case then its also nonsense.

"Fans can only have a say if they pay money"

What if British citizens werent allowed to vote if they dont pay taxes?

Also kind of ridiculous they could have just gone for Conte during the summer, which obviously shows that Conte is NOT their first choice and isn't going to fit, otherwise Conte has a better track record than Nuno and should have got the job back then.

100% - and that's not hindsight talking, as is often the case. Most people with an opinion on it at the time thought it was madness. Pochettino took Spurs to the next level, and they were never going to fare better under Mourinho, who was well into his soured milk phase by then. Sacking Pochettino was the mistake that's lead them to here.

Yep obviously didn't know it was going to be Mourinho, but always thought Mou went there because Spurs had pretty talented squad and were fairly young.

But now we know that Spurs players are generally soft, which Mou kept on making the point that they had to be 'bastards'.

I think they wanted a change from Poch and he had been there a while, so I think that's fair to inject some new ideas, but Poch was good for the club, and they got rid of him at the first dip in form.

I remember thinking how much I'd kill to have him at Everton. Still would.

If we're talking 20 years ago when he was at Chelsea, yeah he was like the best manager in the world. Even after Inter I suppose.

Fell apart for him when he went to Chelsea the second time, and then Man U and then yeah he wasn't invincible anymore.

I think other managers have kind of worked Mou out, so he's not as effective. He had the best players at Chelsea and Real which is a huge head start.

Ah sorry, no - I meant Poch!

Mourinho is a hand grenade we can do without! But yes, superb in his day.
