I'm personally not happy with this decision. Think it reeks of double standards and just emphasises the point that the club literally doesn't know what path they are on.

It also shows that you can't believe a single thing they tell you. It's basically saying we were in a good position financially so we can have morals. But now we aren't we don't have those morals anymore. Classy

And then fans will moan that we are not maximizing our revenue streams (or whatever terms they would use...)

Screwed either way really.

If anyone is offended by this they best not watch the Qatar world cup where stadiums were built using human slaves.

Fans cant want us to be financially strong / competing whilst clamouring to be a "nice" club thats finances reflect that of a Championship team.

The reality is we aint an attractive proposition to global sponsers.

Cant have your cake and eat it.

A lot of people probably won't be.

The club would have come in for bigger criticism if they declined this deal in favour of a lower value one elsewhere. I imagine the Premier League would agree given the state of our accounts.

It isn't that there are no morals in football it's just that they can't mean a lot on a practical level given football is riddled with questionable money. No club can claim the high ground.

Utterly dreadful that I will have to stop following a club I've followed for forty or so years. I'm ashamed that they've sunk to this depth. In a stroke they undermine all the principles of care they show with EITC. Hypocrites.
