I'll avoid spoilers (cause I can't put the spoiler tab on using my phone)....I enjoyed it, but wasn't blown away (after waiting 30 years it was impossible)....will go watch it again over the Christmas (with expectations at a more reasonable level) and I'll probably enjoy it more....

Great Effects, and great seeing Tie fighters & the falcon again....glad I avoided the trailers on tv over the past few months (even popped out of the cinema when the trailer came on before Spectre)....
 
Bit odd that we only saw X-Wings and Tie Fighters.


Where are the B-Wings, A-Wings, Y-Wings or tie intercepters?

I'm a giant nerd. But still.
 

Couple of issues with the movie....

Are Jedi's all chicken sh*t the minute things get tough?....Yoda fecked off to a swamp, Luke fecked off to Ireland, obi wan sat on his ass doing nothing for 20 years while the empire did whatever they wanted...


The hot girl had no Jedi training yet kicked Ren's ass....


Why didn't Darth Vader appear as a hologram to Ren telling him he didn't want him to carry on his evil ways....


How was Leia & Hans kid so f#*%ing ugly?...


Why did Leia get so old?....Why!!?.....it's not fair....seeing her & solo together just reminded me I'm gonna die some day

That's a good point, why didn't Vadar appear to Kylo Ren??? That's quite a plot hole to me, especially if the others do pop up at some point in ghost mode.

I thought that was very odd too. Or more accurately, lazy on Abrams and Disney's part. Especially when there were moments where the aircraft they were deploying didn't make sense. You'd want Y-Wings to bomb the planetside oscillator, and TIE bombers to respond when you "call in an air strike." Both of those vehicles were in the original trilogy and covered in great detail in what I'd consider to be the "shallow" expanded universe, stuff made by Lucasfilms or LucasArts.
