Its more the fact that nobody was in for us when bill came in
Afterwards:
1) any investors were looking at us as a result of bk's work
2) bk is an evertonian, hard to believe he'd put in so much time and capital to rescue and build us up to then sell us on to what he percieved as bad investors

The only real argument is whether his judgement on the second point is accurate, but its all a bit academic since nobody would be interested if not for his lazarus job on the club

BK's judgement is suspect post-Naisse for sure.

I'm still livid.

Do they all have a vote?

A non-exec board member can sit in board meetings and express opinions and advice.

However, has no vote unless acting as a proxy for another. With the vote.

Each of the directors of Everton Football Club have a vote at a directors meeting.

In the event of a tie, the Chairman may cast a deciding vote.

The purpose of most non executive directors is to have an independent view holding the executive to account. It would be extremely unusual for the non-executive director not to have a vote. How can someone accept the legal responsibilities of bring a director yet not be given a vote to ensure he performs his duties?

You have to admit my point still stands
To get the kind of abuse he gets from certain sectors is unfair considering we'd likely be scrapping it out with the championship without his intervention
I think he's more than demonstrated his intentions and thus deserves a lot more respect than he gets
Fair enough criticise some decisions but some posters act like he's some kopite out to destroy the club

Why?? because he negotiated a deal on behalf of his manager and trusted said fraud who totally botched it by panicking and leaving us with a pile of steaming [Poor language removed] that we can't get shut of.

You'd be more fuming if bill refused to sanction the deal our manager wanted, especial the way you had your tongue firmly up his rectum last year

Because they have professional indemnity insurance for the advisory roles they may bring to the board which is essentially a service and potentially covered in a service agreement with the business.

Would you really expect a non-exec director to vote on executive managerial decisions in a company?

Maybe they would have voting rights in financial decisions but on strictly executive issues. Doubtful.

non-executive directors without voting rights do not need to be registered at companies house.

non-executive directors WITH voting rights have to be registered at companies house.

Non executive directors are essentially silent partners arent they? If thats true then they won't have a board vote, it'll essentially be an investment/dividend arrangement
I know nothing about how our board is set out mind, this is jist working from whats bandied about

They're like managerial or technical consultants that bring specialised knowledge or expertise to the board.

They also give the shareholders greater confidence regarding performance of the executive board.

They're basically adding value to decision making processes in the business. To make better decisions.

Its painful to watch, Damos sitting there is his undies with 50 wiki pages open while Esk is sitting on his boat with a beer in his hand laughing at the utter joker.

I cant watch it anymore.

Yeah mate. Whatever. I'll be laughing at you on Friday lunchtime. My next board meeting.
