A manager needs to be in control of HIS players and systems

Get a manager that will oversee a project on the right way instead of this European rubbish way of doing things

Problem I have with this dude is kind of the fan reception to transfers.

Everyone wants star names signing, proven players signing - but then we slag him off for not finding the Bulgarian Ronaldo. I'm confused as to what we - the fan base - want him to sign.

I think it's been established that both DoF and manager have to sign off on players.

That's not the issue.

The issue is Walsh is supposed to be responsible for the overall footballing structure of the club, and have in place policies across the board to ensure a smooth transition whichever manager or bunch of players is here.

He's not very good at that.

Oh I know he has other roles which will be completely new to him but just specifically on transfers I'm a little confused as to what we should be expecting. We seem to complain we're not signing proven stars and also complain we're not unearthing cheap gems. Then we get cheap gems (Vlasic example) but complain we haven't signed a Yarmalenko.

Hopefully Walsh is just demoted to a head scout. Good to see some action of some sort to break up the cosy boys club.
