Was hung out to dry by Roberto in the first half today. Never a defensive midfielder, how can he be expected to link up with Rom from just in front of the defence, shocking. Nice goal though.

The wee Scottish wizard chalks another up. When we are fully fit and upto speed we'll have so many options in games. Testament to all those that have been playing recently that they have put shift after shift in with no respite. We'll get improvements when the burden of the games and the knocks are shared out more equally.
 

Played far too deep today, same as he was in the Derby. Especially while Mirallas and Barkley are out, Lukaku needs support up there, and he's our best option. Scored a good goal today which showed just how dangerous he is when you play him to his strengths. Yet the last 2 League games, we havent and he hasnt been nearly as effective as he was before the Palace game.

Thought much the same. He was anonymous in the first half, but came into the game second half.

Although I think if Martinez didn't have the price tag of Lukaku to worry about it would be Lukaku dropped.

Personally I said it on the match day thread. Bobby needs to play Lukaku up front and trust his judgement on a 28m purchase, we can't spunk that kind of money and if it doesn't work out Martinez will be in trouble.

Well he would be if we didn't just give him a 5 year contract.
