this whole legal/morale debate is all very well, and quite interesting but as I know NOTHING about scottish football I would prefer to read peoples opinions about whether he is any good at playing football.

He's a solid finisher, got some pace and has a decent header. He was one of the more exciting youth prospects when exploded onto the scene at Kilmarnock. He's never been prolific but he's a decent player, probably the next best at Rangers after Jelavic when he was there. The injuries are a bit of a concern though as he might have lost a bit of pace since his last one. Would be a decent option.I'm at work and our stupid IT department have blocked you tube so I cant see what you posted
Where's this statement? Not calling you a liar, but his official statement made no reference to the division he'd be playing in: http://www.scotzine.com/2012/06/in-...whittaker-statements-after-rangers-departure/
Well, unless Associate Press got it wrong then he said it: "Naismith said uncertainty over which division Rangers will play in next season was a key factor in his decision."

Green's case is based around the notion that he has purported to inform the players that he is transferring their contracts. However, it seems that the necessary informing and consultation of the players if you read the statements by Whittaker and Naismith. All of the legal advice I have seen apart from Green's statements would suggest this to be the case, including SFA's. There are more issues that I cannot be bothered to delve into which complicate the matter but this is the crucial part. (see this for an simple discussion of the issues http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18569993)
Furthermore, the players have to effectively decide by Thursday if they wish not to have their contract transferred. This is because that will be when the players have been ordered back for training and when their first pay cheque will be issued - implied intention to have their contract transferred is then assumed.
