RM put out a phsyical team against Chelsea. A team that was fairly big and would stand up to them just as Palace had
done the previous week. So although I was dissapointed when Del Boy did not come on for Besic, it was part of RM's masterly plan to thrawt Chelski. And the Pale Messi loves to wind people up and get stuck in so he fitted the plan perfectly.

But nobody and I mean nobody could have expected a performance like that. His finishing, effort and movement were great. But do not anything like that performance ever again.

Brilliant yesterday. I'll be the first to admit I give him stick when he gets it wrong, but I'm happy he stayed as he's a player who is very adept at a role he plays in the squad.

He'll always pop up with an important goal, but he shouldn't be getting into our team week-in-week-out when all are fit/depending on form.

However, I've got no problem with him starting next week - his performance yesterday deserves that.

I accepted he played well yesterday, I still think he's not good enough for us. It's an opinion and I stick by it.

Fair enough, but he clearly is good enough for a team in our position. Not as a consistent starter, no, but as a squad player he's exactly what we need. Every successful team has one or two players like this.

Del or Kev on at that point in the game would have been mental. Would have totally changed the system. Nasimith was really the only player to come on and give that balance.

In our position now yes, if we want to be top 4 or challenging, which every team does want to be then maybe not. If he keeps playing like he did yesterday though I'll be happy to eat my words ;)

Re-iterating that you think he's not good enough to wear the shirt, the morning after he's scored a hatrick against the Champions is just plain daft imo.

Why express it today? It's churlish and it makes you look silly.

There's a lot of players who have had good games for us who haven't been good enough. Straq scored against a title winning Chelsea, does this mean we should get him back?

Daft comparison, as Straq was pyar mince but with the heart of a lion. Naismith is a good player and has scored plenty of important goals for us. My point was really about the churlish need to state that he's supposedly not good enough the day after he's bagged a hatrick with the performance of the weekend.

I'm sure the next time he misplaces a pass, the usual people will be all over it. He should be given absolute credit for what he did yesterday!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but some of the stuff I've read on here is crazy, people have even said he is the worst player in Everton's history!! Sorry haters, that's not how he'll be remembered, he'll be remembered as the player who came off the bench to smash a hat-trick against the champions, deal with it!

It's not just about yesterday, Niasmith was one of if not our best and most consistent player last season.

No. He was scoring goals at a point when no-one else was.... At the expense of.. You guessed it... Everyone else.

There is no doubting his performance yesterday was fantastic but don't change history mate.

I will admit I was leaning slightly more towards wanting to sell Nais for 8-10m. But to be honest when it appeared very unlikely we would sell Yarmolenko I was happy to keep him as an option as we need options.

I just hope Mirallas and Del get plenty of game time as they are far more talented and need to be playing to keep them happy.
