The people who think he should start cause he scored a hat trick against the champions probably thought Howard should've started up front after he scored against Bolton.

Probably would have better than starting in goal like, but thats not the point.

Teams should be chosen depending on form, IMO. Naismith is very much in-form, and should start.

Wasn't bad today. He's gone from LOL on defense to being quite the pest. Was kept on too long though.

I thought he was superb tbh mate and understood why he was kept on as he looked game for a goal and was a nuisance all game.

Thought he was left on too long myself too.

Other than that which is out of his control i think he did alright.

Fair enough. I don't think he was dire though. It was a good performance from us today, we just lacked some cutting edge up top and it cost us. Still, a good point.

We cant be allowed to be sucked into last season's pattern of playing him and slowing us down. I consider Cleverley's injury a small disaster in that respect. Naismith is someone we should turn to only in the way that United have turned to people like Hernandez or Solskjaer in the past.

Anyone watching his interview on Sky yesterday had to be alarmed hearing him (again) making noises about first team starts. He really thinks he commands a place amongst this squad of players? Deluded. And not a statement you'd hear from others in the squad who wouldn't presume to say they should start every match.

I just don't understand how he can score a hat trick against Chelsea but can't score against Swansea, i thought he was gonna score at least 6 today as Swansea are only half as good as Chelsea.

What happened to that form he was in? Did he leave it on Merseyside.

But still, as long as he didn't get upset by not playing that's all that matters.

He played well, sure on another day he might have got on the scoresheet a couple of times but his performance for the team was good overall. I didn't see him lose possession too many times. Could have been subbed as he started to tire a bit, that's up to the manager tho!

Needs to pipe right on down about starting, hear it every interview now from him and getting boring, yeah we turned down norwich where hed be a starter, so he now expects us to start him so he doeant damage his chances of starting for scotland? If he was half as good as he thought hed walk right into that crap scottish squad games or no games.

If hes thinking he is too good now to be a backup for us then offload him in jan and get austin in
