He'll give us cameo appearances of note from time to time; starter week in week out? Never.

Soon as Cleverley is back if not earlier then the Naismith starting experiment will be over anyway Dave, hopefully Deulofeu and either Kone or Lennon start the Derby, depends how comfortable Lennon would be on the left really

Yep, if Dier hadn't have lunged in on Cleverley he'd have been playing for Norwich right now. I'd defo have Naismith on the bench for the derby though. Horses for courses and all that. He's found the back of their net before and I reckon you have to respect that in a fixture like this.

No where near the worst player tonight, done a job on the left plus once we did get the goal he was getting right in the faces of the opposition trying to unsettle them. Didn't run for him tonight but still a great squad player to ha e who rightly so will play some games and then others he will be on the bench.

Strength in depth = something we suffered with for far too long so let's not be too quick to just want 11 amazing players to play week in week out.

Same mate, likewise as long as he is here he should play some part in the games against the 'big 5' as he has a knack of producing in them games

It's very strange that he excels against those clubs but looks like an ale house player against the rest of the PL.

He didn't have his best game tonight but I really think some on here need to give him the benefit, he's a solid player who always seems to give 100 and though he might not ooze class, he's great to have in the team.

For the front 4 positions we have Lukaku, Kone, Barkley, Del, Lennon, Mirallas and Cleverley who should all be ahead of him. We also still need a playmaker we were all after from the summer, so once they're brought in then I don't see a regular place for Naismith. If we can get £5m for him in Jan then i'd be happy if we moved him on.

This is the Derby is the type of game he would do well in especially as he can be a snide which is something we have lacked against the RS?

One of the things the RS have had over us for many years is having a player in the side who is like that, now we have one, so its perfect for him, and we all know big games are where he gets his goals.

Argues with the ref more than any player in the history of the premier league, even when he's nowhere near him and has got the decision. He will cover 20 yards, quicker than when someone plays a ball to him, just to argue.

This. He must start on Sunday. He will.get into them, may possibly score sending Evertonians and even davek wild with emotion jumping out of our seats and before a bumcan touch back down this thread would be bumped by a defiant davek more charged than ever that it does not excuse him 'being a bad footballer'.
