If we can still get cash for him in January and it's used to secure a playmaker at that point, he has to go.

You mean like the cash we got offered in the summer by Norwich? Bobby knew we couldn't take it and the player was more important to us than 8 million, can be sure if in Jan another club tries there hand at getting him Bobby will do the right thing and keep him at Everton.

He actually proper hates referees. Made me laugh in the Swansea game after a little foul he did (nailed on too), and you could just read oh so clearly him saying "You're having a laugh ref, ya fking knt" on the tv screen.

We need players that have a bit of fight and desire in the team, he gives us that.

Haha I knew the knives would be out for him on here after last night. Yeah he didn't have his best game but he put in a good shift for the team, which is the minimum you get from him. He also made a brilliant run which freed space for Rom to score his vital 1st goal, it was highlighted by Gary Neville in his analysis in case anyone missed it. He was rightly subbed for Kone and he came on and made a difference, this is what competition for places is all about. It's good for the team.

People on here can be so fickle, crying for him to be sold when Norwich made their bid, then he scores a hat trick against Chelsea and it's 'oh pleased we kept him' now we want him sold again? What if he scores the winner against the RS? Flavour of the month again?

Kone gets abuse from some in here and he made a difference last night, Lukaku was being hounded on here last night before he piped everyone down! Players are going to have ups and downs, why don't we just get behind them regardless? It's pathetic really

We need either him or Kone in the side to do the donkey work that Rom and to an extent Barkley don't do. It may not be pretty but it is essential in a team if they are going to achieve anything.

Naismith fulfils a very important role in the Everton set-up. One for which he gets no appreciation at all. His role has become more important this season and will be vital if we continue to improve.
He is the one the moaners moan about. If things are going too well, if we are 4 points behind the league leaders and still in the cup then the opportunities to moan diminish, that is when Naismith comes into his own.
The guy scores a hat-trick against the champions and we have people on here hoping 3 goals doesn't get him a starting place on the next team.
H appears to be a pretty sound human being to me, he isn't world class, he has more endeavour than he has skill but he puts on a blue shirt and he commits himself to the cause. He does enough for me to believe he should be at Everton, maybe not as a starting player but he has a place at Goodison.
If Norwich came back with a £10 mill offer I would sell him, but partly because I think he would want away, he is at an age he needs to be getting football and he needs to play to stay in the Scotland team. If we kept him against his wishes his head might drop and he would be a much lesser player.
But ask yourself, if he goes who do the moaners pick on next.

Well that was a short honeymoon. Cheap Scottish git. I'm hoping the divorce isn't too messy.

(*hopes reverse psychology works, and we get another blinder*)

Circumstances change. The only reason he's here now is because of a challenge by Eric Dier that kept Cleverley out of the team.

The lad is having a good start to the season, let's hope it continues.

At full strength he doesn't get a starting shirt, but he is very useful to have in the squad.

Hat trick against the champions, looked decent when he came on against Spurs for the innefective (that day) Lukaku and always put's in a solid enough performance without being outstanding.

Glad we didn't sell him now.

shame him and kone are better off the bench, guess this was the position we missed out on in transfer window..

especially as doo la foof and lennon only seem to play on the right

Why sell him? Why not keep him and still buy a playmaker/number 10?

I don't get why people want to sell all our players, we need a squad and players that can do different things in different situations. Naismith can fulfil a role at the club he's shown it time and again.

Well that hat trick has bought him at least 5 games starting no matter how tripe he is, we all knew that after the Chelsea game
It also sort of helps that he's probably best place to help take some of the pressure off Galloway while Baines is out. Kone and Kev aren't that defensive
