Not quick enough so Moyes asked Stubbs to mould him into a Centre Half, fantastic I know.

Martinez was planning to play him as a centre half at Wigan when he nearly signed him so its all good.

Can pass the ball and defends well.

I'm comparing it to their's and Chelski and Arsenal and the RS and Spurs and Utd.

And we do not come close to having the quality of bench of any of those rivals.

I dont like seeing defenders played out of position. If Duffy was only available it would have been better. But if Stones is going to become a CB as someone suggested I suppose he has to start somewhere.

I think everyone knows Stones was going to play CB considering he played there all pre-season.

Good decision to give Stones a chance IMO. You can't say you trust him and then leave him out when needed. Even if it doesn't work out it sends the signal to all the other younger players that if they're patient they'll get a chance.
