A picket line at each gate would make a HUGE story for the press, and would get across the 'us vs them' (working class vs the rich) theme. Not many in the country would speak up against a picket line. Yes, some would laugh, but not so many as are laughing right now!

That would create a divide between fans. It either has to be the majority not going or not at all.

Picketing at the gate could turn ugly.

I wonder if this became a thing how many would do it, because if the same amount could boycott one game, that stayed behind yesterday, it would be massive.
It's 90 minutes of football, which is on TV anyway, its not that big a sacrifice
As I've said before, it's easy for me, I'm 12,000 miles away.
But back in Sept I though it might all end in tears so I started making plans to to come over in May for the last rites - or redemption which ever so I shouldn't really tell anybody to Boycott the game.

But Boycott the game(s) it won't take many

Should anyone go until the club reassures us of our safety? The CEO assaulted?!? We need to see the club taking this allegation seriously otherwise none of us are safe from the rampaging horde in the vip section.

I think all those that claim they would love to boycott are either all talk or don't attend matches anyway

Not everyone agrees with boycotting (I am leaning towards thinking I would keep going, but not 100% either way) but if enough people were serious about doing it, it would still be noticeable. The crowd at Goodison would drop from 39,000 to 29,000 or 19,000.

But I doubt it would happen as it's easier for people to make big claims online than actually doing it in reality.

That's true, it'd have to be a soft picket, a token picket if you like, just for the publicity. It would be all over the sports press, and that's all it needs to do. They could stand to one side and not block the gate. I can see it could still cause problems, but name a protest that couldn't.

The club already have the season ticket money, so it's pointless - in the old days pay at the turnstile - thats what fans did - HK was in his first poor spell our attendances were very low - one gate 8,000ish - that hurt the club as fans voted with their feet ...

I agree.
If you stop going through the bad times, you don’t deserve to be there for the good times.

Like this?

To be clear, I'm not talking about binning off Everton. The question is, if the alltogethernow group asked Everton fans to boycott a game as part of a protest, would you?

I agree it is difficult to do because, as we can see from the poll, it is not everyone in favour of it. This kind of protest is an all or nothing move (or at least a significant majority), so it looks like it wouldn't get off the ground.

Depends on what you class as good times.

I don’t think the majority of our supporters under 40 have been blessed with good times and it doesn’t like the good times are coming anytime soon.

feel better already, don’t have to watch this garbage get smashed by Arsenal.

Blackpool is a much smaller club. They had bad times as fans, then turned against the Oystons and eventually won. BUT it was rough for them and it was divisive The vast majority stayed away on a not a penny more ticket.

Yeah but you can say this about anything, if on line was too go by the protest would of had 30k staying back

A boycott wont happen because its too hard, its too much to commit too, its easy to stay back and get the bar half an hour late. A botcott is the best way to go about this but as you say nobody will do it
