Some people just don't appreciate how hard it is for some of us to just walk away. I've been going the match since I was three years old. I've had a season ticket for thirty years. Some of my happiest memories growing up where at Goodison with my Dad and Grandad (both of whom have long passed on). Going the match is one of the last very real links I still have to them. I feel like they're with me and celebrating every goal and despairing at every loss. I know I should just walk away. I know that I should've stopped going years ago really but Its not easy to just walk away from that. As daft as it sounds, stopping going that match is like giving up a part of what makes you who you are to some of us.

Haha you know mate, and that’s how they have us, they know even we don’t go they still get paid. I love Everton, I’ll watch them anywhere, but I refuse to be blamed by our board for their own shortcomings. They don’t represent me and certainly don’t stand for anything that Everton once stood for.
Seriously when is the last time they did?

I don't think modern day fans even care about whether their club represents them. They just want a well run club and competitive team.
Being a competitive team goes a long way to representing your fans. This team is full of losers and has been this way for years.

Now fans are been vilified for goin to the game. ?
No, there’s been nothing but praise for match going blues, especially our away following
The question is, would you boycott if there was a planned boycott
We are the most loyal fan base there is in my opinion but the board need to know there’s a point they lose us and our future generations
The amount of people I saw yesterday saying they’re letting their kids decide who they want to support in the future is so sad considering there wasn’t even a conversation back 30 odd years ago it was ‘you’re a blue and I’ll take you to the game’

I'm not going on the original post .
I'm goin on what some of the responses have been

This is a difficult one. If enough of us don't go, it may be a catalyst for change. Likewise, if enough of us go, what could it do for the players on the pitch?

Their mentality is fragile enough, and while some may say they did relatively well without crowds during the COVID, this would be a different kettle of fish.

Away fans would be galvanised, while those left would probably be sullen and dejected. It was the fans who pulled the club through last year, so without them?

It's making itself into a Catch 22 situation - neither side is right or wrong.
Good point.

A few on here have said they never go to the match. That is fine and your choice. But why come on here and question the motives of those who go? As some appear to have binned their support of EFC, goodbye and enjoy yourselves somewhere else, but why waste time writing on here? Ludicrous.

People are venting the their anger and frustration at something they love (Everton) and feel completely helpless as it all burns to the ground by the board which is beyond our control.

Hence people proposing everything to pressure the board before it’s too late

How can "never go to the match" equate with "something they love"? Sorry, stay away if you don't care enough, but my £900 puts two bums on two seats every season until I croak.

The best sort of protest would be on a live tv game to not go in to the ground until well after ko time. TV cameras, full coverage, nice and peaceful and 15 mins or so after ko all start heading for their seats. Some team did this at Arsenal in a Champions League game a few years ago and I though it a great idea. If they want to delay the ko so fans can get in it`ll put the tv schedule under pressure, if they ko with fans in the ground it pretty much proves they don`t give a toss about the supporters.
