Our fans welcoming the team bus to goodison before the match (not intimidating the players, as reported by sky) got more negative media coverage than when the kopites smashed the city team bus up. That tells you all you need to know.
A bottle was thrown that broke a window that was in front of armoured glass. Those coaches are designed to be bomb proof, they protect hundreds of millions of pounds of talent.

I know I’ll get sh*t for this but how can we on in breath be disgusted with the misreporting and lies our club are spewing now while doing so ourselves. While we have been gazing over the park we’ve taken our eyes off the ball, we have been encouraged to gaze over there by our own club. Forget those pr*cks and wake up.

Everton fans didn't throw anything at our team bus yesterday. The media reported that the players were "met by angry fans" and sky said it was a "torrid atmosphere". Fair play to Clinton Morrison who was reporting in it for sky on soccer Saturday. He said the atmosphere was incredible. The narrative yesterday was to put blame squarely at the fans' door.

Liverpool fans pelted the city coach before the match and a window got broken. The media reported it as "city bus given a hostile welcome".

There are definite media narratives which warp the truth.

I don't think there's enough of the fan base who are willing to stop going. Even after the game, I don't think the stadium was anywhere near full, so as admirable as the protesters are, they are still in a minority.
I see what you are saying, but I don’t agree. Loads of people had to leave to catch trains, and because they had other commitments.

I’m just looking at a trip to something I really want to do and realised I couldn’t go because it’s the last game of the season , potentially the last top flight game at goodison and then thought what am I doing. A few years ago the idea of missing it wouldn’t even be a thought now I’ll probably be away , it’s ridiculous what they’ve done to us .

I think a few are missing the point on not going to the game
It’s not about the club missing out on money (because they already have it) it’s the impact of a half full Goodison for a premier league game.
As a club we proudly sell out almost every match every season and it would be impactful to show that even the most loyal of fan bases will not be loyal forever if they continue this disastrous regime

What enjoyment do any of you even get from going anyway? Is it not a chore at this point?
It’s more of a duty for me rather than for enjoyment now. My Dad took me and my brothers since were about 5. I haven’t really enjoyed going for a few years, but my lad loves it, he was devastated yesterday.

It’s also a chance to see my mates, have a pint and get a break from my beloved (or a break for her from us!)

That's kind of the point, though. People don't care enough.
But there are a lot more important things that people have to do that we aren’t aware of.

A lad by us was going to the hospital to see his Dad who has cancer, should he have stayed?
