Weird stance (as much as I want those two gone)

So the trigger for you not going was Benitez being appointed, but the trigger for you going back is the removal of those two, even if the person who actually appointed and wanted Benitez is still there? Very odd.

Don’t get me wrong, I want those two gone, but you could clear out the whole board, and the manager/coaching team, and the biggest problem with Everton would still be there, chatting on the phone with Jim White.
The pig was a symptom of the clubs demise, not the cause. He was just happened to be the straw that broke the camels back.

I will not go anywhere near until the cause is removed and that is Bill Kenwright and his cronies.

Moshiri is a fool but ultimately owns the club. It’s up to senior management to manage his involvement and expectation. Our board have proven that they cannot/will not do this.

Whilst its everyones own decision personally I could never bin off going the match permanently.

Be interesting if we do go down what our attendance would be next season - hopefully those that do decide to jib us off because we werent in the PL dont get to worm their way back when BMD opens / our fortunes improve.

Cant handle the bad times you dont deserve to see the good imo.

This thread is about whether you would stay away as part of an organised protest. There have been plenty of other threads about whether you would still follow Everton if we were relegated and Im not going to get into that here.

Empty seats is the only way forward, the idea it won't matter because they already have your money doesn't mean anything.
Look at yesterday, was it pointless having that protest because the board wasn't there? No, it sent a message.
Lets be honest the next game is Arsenal, half the crowd will be making for the bar to put money into the club after 20 minutes and leaving after 70 anyway.
The time has come to leave seats empty

What good times? The last 30 years or so have been nothing but rubbish times. I don’t think you can ever question an Everton season ticket holders loyalty, more so our insanity, than anything.

For me personally, and others I go the match with, this season has become an indication that the club don’t care about us at all. I know that can be said for most clubs, I get that, but yesterdays antics put a massive downer on the support of the fans and the feeling around me was that unless things change at board level, fans will vote with their feet.

I cancelled my ST auto renewal last week, I’ll make a decision in April before the deadline, but if things are still the way they are, I won’t be renewing. It’s nothing to do with not supporting the team as I’m happy to do that through the bad times, it’s all I’ve known, really.

It just feels like we are massively being taken advantage of, by a board that supposedly care.

One game isn't going to hurt, how many did we miss in lockdown? And Arsenal is on TV

I go the game celebrate goals enjoy the wins, walk home feeling upbeat optimistic, moan at silly back passes moan get rid when we're under the cosh, walk home gutted at defeat at the sorry state we're in, lately thinking about packing in as the game is gone var ,referees who are full tme salaried professionals who can't do their jobs, the way ffp rule s wh o can and can't invest in their own business to Improve it to try and become better, doesn't happen in any normal business you cam throw as much money as you have into your business until it succeeds i have become disillusioned at the way it is the reasons I still go isn't just the rare wins and goals its knowing that thousands more just like me still go have the same emotions I go for the memories I go with my son who won't miss a game I hope he sees us win silverware he never has he I look at seats where loved ones sat and remember something and smile I'll renew next year might go a bit less but i couldn't miss the Last game at goodison I hope bill and the board do as what they've done against their fans is unforgivable

I would say the problem with Evertons fanbase and defining what is or isnt "good times" in the words of Kenwright is that one half of the fanbase have seen us as an elite club winning league titles, FA Cups and a European cup whereas the other half haven't seen us win anything which is quite unique for most clubs fanbases outside of us and probably Aston Villa ?

I dont really remember the 95 Cup win and grew up watching us in the 90's under Wally Smith so the Moyes years of regular top 6 finishes, european togger and a few cup semi's and a cup final whilst not success was still good times for me (which I assume is what Kenwright was referring to).

I think modern football outside of the big 6 the reality is its very difficult to compete now unless you're owned by a gulf state full of oil money so relatively speaking I would say its only really been this season and last that have been a genuine slog for me since the early 00's.

In Moshiri's first 3 years as owner we finished 7th, 8th, 8th and whilst it was frustrating due to managerial sackings and runs of poor form I would say it was more frustrating because of how expectations had increased due to the money being pumped in, BMD plans, talk of not wanting to be a museum etc.

Even just 2 years ago we appointed one of the greatest managers of all time so I think we have to have a reasoned view of these things.

If you said to me tomorrow would you take 7th spot, European qualification, a £100 million transfer kitty and an FA Cup Final I would snatch your hands off compared to the mess we're in now.

I would miss a single game but I dont think that would do anything really mate.

The moneys still in the boards pocket.
Yeah but it's not about the money, its about the message, when Newcastle had 1000s not going its because they were protesting against the owner, who got ran out of town.
Like yesterday, the protest was worth doing, but unfortunately too many thought it would be a good idea to abuse players, which was the worst thing we could of done.
A boycott is vital now, just one game, which we will probably lose anyway and its on TV
