I’ve only put the lads up who contracts are expiring over the next two years. The figures might not be accurate, but appear ball park. The older lads with one year left on contracts don’t pose a problem if they can contribute as back up member. Williams needs booting. For anyone that has two years left we need them out, barring McCarthy who won’t get any suitors whilst injured.

I’ve not included the players on longer term contracts, but there’s loads of gash players we can offload. Even if it’s loans.

Steklenburg June 2019 £30k
Baines June 2019 £70k
Williams June 2019 £70k
Jagielka June 2019 £50k
Martina June 2020 £35k
Galloway June 2020 £23k
Garbutt June 2020 £23k
McCarthy June 2020 £50k
Mirallas June 2020 £70k
Niasse June 2020 £55k
Tarashaj June 2020 £15k

Wow Tarashaj must have the longest contract in the club's history.

Think the big, big problem with Holgate is attitude. He’s seemingly coasted through on natural talent to this point, but when it starts to get tough his head seemingly goes. The whole incident across the park and the aftermath points to a lad that struggles under pressure. If he has the mental tenacity to push on remains to be seen.

Not claiming any ITK status here, just basing it on what we’ve seen.
See the afters from the 1-1 draw at OT, were Williams handles in the last minute. Holgate was furious after the whistle in the tunnel, whilst everyone else patted each others backs for a draw.

I believe it, I actually think it’s weird that people don’t.

A player who’s not really forced himself into the team, who would probably raise a decent amount of money, seems like a prime candidate for sale to me.
If we're actively selling our best players then yes I'd agree with you. But I didn't think that was the case.

There are literally 30 players I would sell before Mason, including every one of our other defenders apart from Coleman.. He's the only one of all our young players who, IMO, is ready to be a regular starter for us. It would be madness to sell.

Think he's got the attitude that we sorely lack to be honest.

He's clearly a snide with his push on Firmino and he was excellent throughout the rest of that game (soft penalty aside).

I'd much rather bin Keane off before Holgate based on age and the style of play that we're going to try and implement next season.

Please, it was a clear as day shove in the back, yes it was made a meal of by Firmino, but Holgates reaction was a lad that realised he could be in a good few feet of the brown stuff.
Utter rubbish mate. That's exactly what all the RS have been saying and you've fallen for it. In fact I think it's pretty low of you to even think that he would pull the racist card just to get out of trouble.

Personally I’ve never been totally convinced by him but I appreciate I seem to be in a minority there.

I made this point the other day though, if silva and brands want 2 new centre halves then they need to sell one that we have. It won’t be easy to sell Williams, particularly as he’s injured, so then you have a decision to make. If they don’t think holgate is ready yet, do they cash in on him? It wouldn’t surprise me.

I doubt we're that skint to need to sell him. If we are buying 2 then we'll have 5 so at worst you could send him out on loan.
