This season is already written off, too much turmoil on and off the pitch last year, huge rebuild required. We might have a chance with a cup but that’s it for this season possibly next too

It isnt though, we finished 7th about 14 points clear off 8th in Koemans first season despite the previous season being an utter mess under Martinez and his final days of management.

Nothing stopping Everton Football Club having a good season if we actually got our act together and get the side strengthened especially the defence and midfield.

Whats baffling me is that Farhad has spent months trying to recruit both Silva and Brands and now we have them they appear to have much less support than the previous idiots in charge.

Much less support from who ?
The Board ?
The Players ?
The Fans ?
They've been with the squad 4 days doing what they said they would do...assessing.
Deadwood is being shipped out.
What would you want ? Just keep buying players and hope it works or a methodical plan not just for now but for years to come.
Stop the bedwetting fella no one said this was going to be a quick fix.

....here we go with Friday morning’s Toffee transfer gossip;

- According to Turkish media outlet, Fanatik, Fenerbahce have made a loan offer for Everton winger, Yannick Bolasie. New Fenerbahce boss Philip Cocu is believed to be using his friendship with Marcel Brands to enable a £1.3m season long loan.

- The Daily Mirror claim RB Leipzig have had an opening bid of £12m turned down by Everton for winger, Ademola Lookman. The 20 year old had a successful loan spell at a Red Bull last season but Everton are not looking to sell.

- Various outlets, including the Liverpool Echo report Everton have contacted Barcelona regarding their 23 year old Colombian Centre Back, Yerry Mina, who has struggled for game time since joining the Spanish club in January. Spanish news outlet, Sport, suggest Fenerbahce have already made a €30m bid for the player. Daily Mirror journalist, David Anderson, has said on his Twitter account that Liverpool are not interested in Mina but Everton are.

- Real Betis have announced the arrival of Everton goalkeeper Joel Robles on their official twitter feed. The 28 year old has signed a 4 year deal at the Estadio Benito Villamarin.

- The Liverpool Echo say Everton forward Shani Tarashaj is likely to leave soon after joining former club Grasshopper Zurich on trial. Since completing a £3m switch in January 2016, the Swiss international has not made a single appearance for The Toffees.

- Reported Everton and Liverpool target, Xherdan Shaqiri, has told the Daily Mirror his future will be decided soon. The Swiss international stated a preference to stay in the Premier League.

- In a press conference, Real Betis chairman Serra Ferrer has stated his club are in talks to sign Portuguese international, William Carvalho, from Sporting Lisbon. The midfielder has been linked with a move to Everton.

- According to a report from Italian outlet Tuttosport, Everton are one of a number of clubs chasing Senegal and Torino striker M’Baye Niang this summer.

- The Watford Observer pick up on reports suggesting Marco Silva and Marcel Brands are keen on Watford’s £40m rated Brazilian winger Richarlison.

Leicester went from relegation battle to winning the league in 1 season

Utd went from winning the title under SAF to finishing 7th under Moyes in 1 season

Liverpool have gone from Origi and Danny Ings up top to Salah, Mane and Firmino in about 2 seasons.

My point is absolutely anything can happen in one season, Arsenal may well suffer the drastic change from Wengers dynasty to getting under grips with Emery's management.

Chelsea have all the possible hallmarks of a side who may struggle

Liverpool will have massive pressure on their shoulders- its no longer plucky top 4 challengers against big spending rivals they are 2nd favourites to the title and they will be lucky if Salah has another season like last (and Mane/Firmino who both netted 20+ goals each)

Im just becoming increasingly concerned that the longer we go without any business the less likely our chances are of actually doing anything this season.

Good post that kidda.
Just don’t be melting down just yet. You said about the RS turning it around in 2 seasons, so if it takes that for us to be much more competitive then so be it.

There’s already been a big change at board level, Brands and Silva are making the right noises, let’s see where this takes us.

I like how Fenerbahce have to ferret around the back of the sofa to afford a deal with us but then can blow 30 million if it's with Barcelona.

Even in the rumours we're getting shafted!
